Yesterday i've been to the shop and viewed the model myself, i'm satisfied with the picture quality especially when displaying the HD movie using the HDMI cable.

dashisiong, i'm getting mine sharp 37A66 for RM 2650, plus another 3 years warranty that'll be RM 2860.

I've gave up the aim on 42A66 because the price gap is so much, RM2650 and RM 3.8K++...

By the way, any recommendation on which brand of HDMI cable that i should get? or anything that i should take into account when choosing HDMI cable? (sorry..i didn't do much research on this...haha)

Actually there are reasons why Sharp is not too popular here or elsewhere. Sharp never really fixed the banding and clouding issues. They also had initial problems with backlight bleeding. There is also talk that their white balance adjustments in the service menu is flawed. Grayscale (white balance) is the basic need for any decent HDTV. I believe the higher end models perform better. IMHO Sharp needs to fix these problems before moving on. Black levels are better on a Sony W series or Samsung 650 series and above. I might be wrong and they might have fixed these problems but the last I checked they still had banding issues that was not fixed. The white balance adjustments are real put off for me.

On the matter of size, bigger is always better in this case. You will always wish you bought a bigger set.
