The bad part is still 30 sec block

Cool, Hotlink finally comes out with something to counter back. thumbup.gif
More competitions. biggrin.gif

Did you mean 60 seconds block?

By the way, how to determine the campus location? smile.gif

Sadly, it's 30 secs per block. But still, it's better than the previous rates  rclxms.gif
*
I thought it is standardised to be 30 seconds per block. DiGi is using 30 seconds per block too. smile.gif
The 60 seconds per block is sucking blood like hell.

QUOTE(monara @ Apr 1 2009, 02:09 PM)
great news from hotlink!!!
but why it is a sad news about the 30 seconds block? i thought it should be good right?
and who is eligible to this? how to activate?
*
Yeah, I was wondering too. Should be good news to have 30 seconds/block right?
It is standardised... Unless, you guys want something like U-Mobile, 1 second/block.

QUOTE(FlamingFox @ Apr 1 2009, 02:10 PM)
I dunno, I'm used to the 30 secs per block, only said it's sad coz fruitie mentioned 60 seconds block lol

Hmm maybe students using prepaid?
*
I'm not sure if you are aware, Hotlink is still using 60 seconds/block.

QUOTE(WaCKy-Angel @ Apr 1 2009, 02:24 PM)
what does the "on campus' and "off campus' means?
*
Hotlink used to have Hotlink zones whereby students in selected universities can get cheap call rate.
With this new Hotlink Youth Club, it doesn't matter now because both in campus and off campus = everywhere is having one flat rate.

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Apr 1 2009, 02:28 PM)
its not one flat rate its at a discounted rate.

sms to digi or other telco used to be 15cents. Now with this youth hotlink club its only 6 cents
*
Yeah, saw that. blush.gif
5 cents actually. smile.gif

QUOTE(monara @ Apr 1 2009, 02:29 PM)
now this plan easily dwarfing other telcos..hehe.
i read, students need to register to their dealers...in each campus...
*
Yeah, the only advantages D' Campus are having is the free unlimited call within campus zone and unlimited data line for RM 30/month.
U.O.X. is not having the cheapest rate already.
Hopefully with Hotlink's latest plan can generate more competitions to other telcos to benefit all the users. biggrin.gif

I believe Maxis is aware that most of its teenage users are using Hotlink prepaid and quite a number of them have migrated to other telcos. Finally, they saw that. Good. thumbup.gif

With this Hotlink Youth Club, it benefits both its house and off house users. We, as the off house users are expecting fiercer competition. laugh.gif

From the chart is shows you still need to top up a minimum of RM 10/year to enjoy the validity. smile.gif

that means this plan almost flawless!!!!
bro, plz change it in the 1st post also...
and are u now being charged with that new rates ?
*
The only flaw I believe is the minimum RM 10/year to continue enjoying the free 4 years validity. Still, RM 10 is cheap. biggrin.gif
I think they use the sucked money from normal Hotlink prepaid package to cover these expenses. tongue.gif

that is why im looking for their term and conditions, but did not manage to find it everywhere  sweat.gif ..

or maybe they have access to the university database to know which student are still studying or not..  hmm.gif
*
I'm sure it doesn't matter if you are a university student or not, if you have previously registered for Hotlink Campus Zone then it will be automatically converted to this plan. As easy as that.

Last time is when u in campus zone u wanna call out there will be a long beep

No wonder I used to get long beep before I made a call using Hotlink prepaid. Yeah, I was wondering too why I didn't get the beep back in my hometown.
Now I know, it is the indicator actually. blush.gif

really? but during register last  time dat ppl in maxis center said i can change back to prepaid for free..
duno they cheat me or what hehe..but really want diz hotlink plan cry.gif
so cheap than maxis postpaid..
*
Yes, you can because I was a Maxis and Hotlink user.
Maxis to Hotlink to Maxis and lastly back to Hotlink.
But I need to use 6 months of postpaid before changing back to prepaid. Yes, it is free of charge and can get RM 10.00 credit too.

im gettin damn pissed wit maxis.. seems like the postpaid subscribers haf no priority from dis cmpany. they keep givin good offers to hotlink subscribers while ignorin postpaid plans. as it is d postpaid plans are expensive.
*
I think Maxis postpaid is having acceptable rate. The normal Hotlink prepaid users are still striving with expensive call rate. RM 0.33/minute but with 60 seconds/block.
This plan is only for existing campus zone users and newly registered users but must be university students.

My housemate isn't a campus zone user and plans to switch her Hotlink to DiGi tomorrow. Since Hotlink has this good plan, I think it is more suitable for her to stay with Hotlink.

Anyone care to tell me on the process to get it registered? Much appreciated. biggrin.gif

For MMU Melaka students, a HYC roadshow is ongoing at in front of Ixora food court. I'm not sure how much is the SIM pack or plan conversion can be done there. Check it out yourself. smile.gif

I must say Hotlink is not as aggressive as what DiGi has done to its D' Campus plan in MMU Melaka. Almost everywhere we can see yellow shirt people but this time only few red shirt people are walking around. They don't look interested to sell their product. sweat.gif Since most MMU students have D' Campus as their secondary line, most of them just showed a "no" sign to these HYC promoters.
