QUOTE(ah_khoo @ Apr 9 2009, 02:11 PM)
not really, for eg i changed from 690g > 770 > 790gx > 790fx, no problem at all. as mentioned by sifuu chip & dale, same manufacturer should be fine.  :/)

i oso interest to noe actually, last time i use 8450x3, change to 6000+ without any prob(change chip)

thn oso tried change mobo, M3A78-EM > M3A79T-DELUXE (same series chipset/ same manufacture)
so, it dun come with any prob, but, since i ever kena virus during using M3A79T-DELUXE,
aft settle the virus thingy(w/o format) , it seem load in OS (winXP) vy vy vy slow...(*counting on the xp loading bar around 22 times oni go in OS sweat.gif )

this condition can ask bro ktek too, since i bring it to gathering, we do OC use my HDD, load in OS damn lama.. tongue.gif

but aft come bec frm gathering, i change bec to M3A78-EM, dunoe y, it seem can load in faster(loading bar around 12 times) to OS compare to M3A79T-DELUXE (around 22 times)

i oso dunoe the exact prob, mayb is that i begin format this hdd on this M3A78-EM, so work better with it? hmm.gif

While my problem is load in OS is okay, but when in OS need to load very long just to wait for the comp to get smooth.
If not it will load very slow. Like I have to wait for around 3minutes in the OS for everything to get ready and okay to use.

Even when I just format with a fresh OS it still take some time to load up. I'm guessing it's my HDD problem or not. hmm.gif

cdlim, i believe it related to hardware that attach to the mobo itself, i mean audio, sata, bla..bla.. so it required time to boot a little longer..

I noticed something. Whenever I increase the voltage in AOD, it'll revert back to the default vcore.

try to disable every other things that u don't use also like the floppy, ide if u don't use it, raid, boot virus scan etc.. I find that disabling unused peripheral on the mobo does help a bit in booting.. Just my 2 cents ah..

so it seems the wall for 720be with 4th core unlocked is around 3.3ghz. Can anyone go higher than that? I tried with mine, but bsods even with cranking up the vcore.

1 question I would like to ask. Since the 720BE is AM3 platform, then will it be able to run on an AM3 mobo with DDR3 RAM?
