advice to mazact, i think u better master first with all biostar thingy before u think to change ur board to dfi, once u enter dfi or asus board, i'm afraid, u will keep asking the same question that u able to answer it back once u know the board better..

ur 3.8GHz is rock stable or not... fuhhh with 1.5v summore... can do prime arr bro and post ur result here 1 hour enuff...

have u tried unlocking the 4th core on fxb....

as i said before, play with safe voltage, then u know the limit, most of the time, amd mobo will stop u to do higher oc when it reach 1.536~1.6v, it's all depend on humidity and cooling solution u use, that applied to third party cooler,
when u use stock 1.3~1.4 is the best when u want to play.

above than 1.55v~3.0v u need wc and another extreme cooling, for myself, i just use this experience only, and i didnt look for any temp software during normal overclock, when u know what is correct, what is not, u always can do what u want without depending on other software.

to be fair to biostar, their bios are quite rich oso, but what irked me bout biostar boards was d ami bios & d "a 'lil bit buggy bios (earlier version)". other than that, i got no complaint. as for gettin familiar w/ d bios, spend some quality times tweakin here & there then one is gud to go.

i do it support only bro, sales is not my type...

u got 2 options imo, either stick w d board & downgrade ya chip to am3 variant (less heaty) + gain some $$$ or go d costly way - sell of d board & go for goldfi. for me, 940b.e on biostar is a 'lil overkill, some more w/ 4 phase of pwm, it'll be better to run lower wattage chips than d higher ones. just my 2 cents thou...

trust me bro, any bios older than 2/24 are as gud as hopeless in gettin d 4th core stable, but bios 2/24 was d best for tricore oc back then.

if biostar can improve on their bulit quality & change to better theme (not d lego like theme), i'd say they are gud to give dfi a gud fite.
