QUOTE(clivengu @ Apr 16 2009, 12:28 AM)
I am staying in Bandar utama.. near One utama..  I have no problem connection Celcom Broadband.. but is more or less      USELESS... (even compare to Dialup, dial up much stable)

80% time the connection doesnt work (even if it is connected) Log in Msn.. disconnect after 1 second of log in. Connect again.. it disconnect again after log in for 1 second.

Other Problem includes:

1. Browse website : Page not found.  Time out.. etc etc.
2. Attaching file in Email 95% will fail cause connection "lost" every few minutes
3. Msn connect reconnect 10 times in 1 minutes. PPl in my list get irritated with me continuously Popping out in their msn that they planning to Block me! Message doesnt send through (no failure message noted) creating misunderstanding in many occasion.
I have called to make complain for 4 times. 4th times im too pissed off that i can hardly control my temper because i fail to send important document to my client b4 deadline. The connection become stables for 4-6 days after the complaint.. before the problem happens again.. n getting worse..
(This reply has been refreshed 3-5 times bcause failure to post due to horrible connection..)
What solution can i have? i have 10 more month contract. I am oredi start looking for alternatives broadband... if not i will be dying from high blood pressure....very soon.

so far i'm using D98 no issue... get up to max speed 1.5mb and above..

not for international sites tho, i think there is issue with the link to the west...

Few weeks ago I came and saw many people complaining about this celcom BB but now I can see the topic has change to "30% Dissatisfaction", so is it better now?

A question here, about the celcom BB prepaid type, I have a celcom xpax simcard so I can access the prepaid plan with my handphone? Or can I get a USB 3G modem with my xpax sim card plugged in?

D98 is fast... still seeing complains for D68 package though.

running on edge/gprs the whole day... just logged a case with celcom.

the ridiculous troubleshooting that they gave me:

1. only error 619 is connection problem, if it is not than means could be usb modem problem... ohmy.gif

2. try uninstall and reinstall vodafone mobile connect, then restart pc... sweat.gif

3. take out the sim card, could be got dust, try wipe the sim card and see...then put back and try connect. shocking.gif

4. if still cannot, take out the sim card... you got phone rite? (nvr mention if it's a 3G phone) Try put that sim card in and connect... if can connect means it is usb modem problem ph34r.gif

5. (after i went a few places to try out and came back, with the 3G sucessfully connect) Oh... still cannot at your place ar, but other places can connect, i see... Ok since you have tried all the troubleshooting, then we shall log case to engineer to check. It will take 3-7 working days. (now only willing to log to engineer doh.gif )

**never asked whether i know how to connect to "gprs/edge only"... wah if not i no need online the whole day adi... ** shakehead.gif

just called 1111 careline.
their response was, "wait 24 hours then if still slow, only call back, that time only we will lodge report to technical department"

hmm, so i asked him, why 24 hours? is it normally slow in 1st 24 hours? he put me on hold for 5 mins, said needed to confer with technical staff, after 5 mins, came back and repeated the same answer.

probably i should just wait till tomorow before bugging them again.

0.12mb/s is not normal for d68 package? what number should it be around?

thanks.

how come after a few minutes utorrent speed will drop to almost nothing? sweat.gif have to continually restating utorrent

use bit comet... never encounter such problem with it

http://www.bitcomet.com/doc/download.htm

register as a user (login when using bitcomet) to download faster...

i've discarded utorrent years ago as last time i did tried out all the torrent apps out thr... only to realize bitcomet is still the best as mentioned by many users.

cant refund unless you go for the rent modem package...

why u buy the modem if u know u are just trying it?

for gamers better use d98 package.. for heavy gamers no need use wireless (watever wireless currently oso wont suit u), go for streamyx.
