QUOTE(qqbebe @ Jun 20 2009, 04:49 AM) hi dear~ hi qqbebe, i dun think VFT will work for that.... well my situation is like this . my room is just upstair of my back house owner who have a nursery of flowers and plants between us . she even locked the side gate door to our back door . but because i just moved here 8 years ago n they long ago so no choices la ..... the plants n flowers attached lots of mosquito ... lolz .... even they 24 hrs close the windows @@ mine also 24 hours close the windows but my bathroom window (just next to my back windows ) is slightly opened . lots of mosquito entered from there ... once few month got ppl from mpaj spray smoke for the killing mosquito , all the mosquito will come hide in my house .. lolz i got few children in house so scared got denggi n sort like infection >.< if i get the venus trap fly will it help ? n where i can get it in ampang / cheras area ? thank you for ur times ^^ if i not mistaken, you might stay condo/ apartment and mean you cant get a suit place for VFT/drosera/sarracenia species for outdoor since the lack of direct sunlight. if you want keep them health and the only choice is indoor with artificiate lighting system. Well it might able trap some insert or mosquito. but i owas suggest do not use CP just to trap insect/pest. The major you need is put them as hobby and give them a suitable place for growing and survive. jsut my 2cent.... |

QUOTE(Miko_Chan @ Jun 20 2009, 02:03 PM) My house has sooo many mosquitoes... any plants that traps and eat mosquito well?? Pls intro... oh i see...since you can get sunlight that long hours.. then should be all rightI live in a apartment... And i have alot of sunlights shining into my house... Because I live in the 2nd floor and my side is where the sun rise... It is very sunny in the afternoon till evening... I have those glass transparent doors... That's why... dun forget what casey mentioned, CP would try the way to trap insect so mean it might get more from mosquitoes/insect... of couse not in huge amount. i can suggest is d.filiformis ... what i experienced is it able trap more insect than other due to the structure of leaf. yes .. you can easily take them from longkang or river..
if you see them closer , you will notice the moss have different form of type. just keep them moist ... they are able to survive Added on July 15, 2009, 10:52 am QUOTE(caseyhoo @ Jul 15 2009, 10:37 AM) You can keep those normal garden moss as well. It will looks nice!!!! hahah casey... i am not expert la... i also get some tips from david as well... Distance for light, depends on what light you are using. FL/T8 light, you need to put nearer. May be around 6inches. For PLL light, you can put more far, may be 1ft... Edmund and David able to asnwer you better. Since both of them keep titarium using artificial light. Both of them are expert in that. i feel to start another tank after sa your mail and ask those terrarium thing.. make my heart itch.. This post has been edited by edmund^0^: Jul 15 2009, 10:52 AM |

if the environment the humid enough .. you not need spray any water on them...
if you spray, try not under the light on.. if not .. their leaf will burn |
