@leeseng1990 I think it should be a dead pixel.. maybe you could call apple support/center and raise this issue... Im not sure ACPP covers dead pixels or not..

@nyunyu Yea your wife is eligible as all academic staff does entitles to the education price... Only the apple online store offers education price... But other then online only 2 other shop I know one is inside Lim Kok Wing and another is in MMU Cyberjaya which caters for university students... Depends on which mac you wanna buy... if its the MBP or MBW I suggest you get it now as they are just upgraded recently... For iMac, MB air and others suggest you to wait for announcement in june/july..

Depends on whether it is a CTO (Customized to order) unit or standard unit... If its a standard unit like mine it took around 3-4 working days tops to arrive... But it depends if there are available stock and the demand... For CTO it might take 1 week plus minus..

They will give you an estimated date of arrival when you purchase.. Normally they are on time according to the date given.

Yes most ready non customized macbooks are straight from Singapore if they have stock there... Most of the people buying those standard specs will start their shipping status from Singapore...

You mean engraving on the ipod or the macbook? If you talking about the macbook, there is no engraving services for the macbook.. only for the ipod... If you wanna know about the delivery time for ipod then you have to head down to the ipod thread not here...

Added on May 26, 2010, 9:43 amEngraving services is available outside apple..

I know US has that promotion and some other countries... Malaysia only have the education discount which is very good already... Unless you are studying in the states then you could opt for the macbook with ipod promo..

Do you need to enter like the institution that you are currently studying in to get the promo? Im sure they have to register or some sort proof that they are students studying in certain uni/college in sg right?

In most cases it will be under good condition unless you are unlucky to get it DOA (dead on arrival) which u can ask for a replacement unit from apple. So many of the forumers here got their MB's from the online store and most of them are satisfied.
