Wah, I'm imagining how is the condition... Face to face with the guy that stole your phone, must've felt like taking a baseball bat and whack him.

Anyway, what did the thief say to you?

Added on May 15, 2009, 8:37 pmThe download link for RemoteTracker is http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=284670

But which version is the best for Xperia? I know the platform independant one works, but got anything that specifically works with WM 6.1? (So that less issues.)

woohooo.. welcome to xperia owner club bro...

glad to har that another xperia user coming soon..haha..

for me.. if u wan stable rom.. go for jack's rom.. very nice and stable.. no bug found by me.. and it feel very fast..
*
Second that, Jack's ROM is really good. Although I can't get the FM Radio to work but I think there's something that's got to do with me. I'll check it out when I have the free time.

Another thing with Jack's ROM is that if you access the SMS with the TF3D interface, it will not automatically help you to add a capital letter after a fullstop. Then again, it might be only me also.

But overall Jack's ROM is really fast and stable, I will never want to go back to stock ROM again.

Just installed RemoteTracker, seems like a very nice and simple software. Most importantly, I feel safer on the streets.

Thanks again rkwan.

I seriously need help on WMWifiRouter. Anybody willing to try it out for me so as to teach me how to configure it?

I'm using Windows Vista as my main computer with streamyx connection, and WMWifiRouter 1.35

Sheesh, I just can't seem to make it work.

Maybe you should try hard resetting and flash back any ROMs you want? AFAIK, PDA phone operating systems have a close tie with the Memory card. It could be that WM6.1 is not 'synced' with your card. Of course, this is just my weak speculation.

Just soft reset it using the soft reset button. It is recommended to hard reset once you have flashed to a new ROM, even though it it not proven that the memories from the previous ROM may affect the phone's performance, but it's better to just do it right? Besides, hard-resetting doesn't take a lot of time.

Hmmm, my Jack's ROM starting to make some weird problem like cannot send text messages until after I soft reset and also my Media Xperiance Panel will not load Playlists from my WMP properly. Any playlists that are too big will simply show as '0' in the panel.

The TF3D one works fine though.

So maybe I will need to update my ROM soon... Hmmm...

Anyway, between Diamond 2 and Xperia, although they have almost the same spec, but don't forget Xperia has a physical keyboard. I bet if you tried any on screen keyboard before, including the very geng FingerKeyboard, you'll notice that nothing can ever come close to a real keyboard, nothing.

hi,

AGPS in long is called assisted-GPS which using cellid or cell tower information to help GPS.

it doesnt actually help accuracy of GPS or speed of GPS.

i can even say it is different thing from GPS.

Assisted-GPS can speed up the locking speed on GPS thou.

For software such as mapking or garmin doesnt use AGPS at all. they will only use GPS.

the only software i found to use AGPS is google maps. that it. for Social networking only. but social networking is not promote great in malaysia. so AGPS is quite useless 1.. but i love that it really speed up locking of GPS a lot.

now i lock satellite even faster than standalone Garmin GPS since garmin standalone GPS dont have AGPS.
*
That's funny. You say mapking and garmin do not use A-GPS, then you say GPS lock-in will be faster wit A-GPS.

So will the GPS of mapking and garmin lock in faster with A-GPS? rclxub.gif

Seems photoshopped to me....

If that is really Xperia 2, then I would be extremely happy and will never regret buying Xperia 1.

Xperia 1 design is so much nicer compared to that one.

Please don't expect everything to be spoon fed to you if you're planning to use Windows Mobile phone. WM contains so many features that you can't wait for people to just tell you about it, go find out yourself, surf xda forums, it has almost everything that you need to know about Windows Mobile.

Note that this is Xperia discussion thread, not tutorial

I'm sure you can find many tutorials in xda forums. (google xda)

I hope my words are not too harsh.

So before i start to flash the Jack ver3.3, I need to reconfirm few things:
1. HardSPL first
2. Flash the ROM using microSD method

What else do i need to download and install beside that?
If i do the step 1&2 without flash radio, is it ok?
Do i need to do the SDconfig by Jack?
Do i need to install any other panels?
*
SDconfig is to make sure your storage card is the right format before you could flash the ROM using MicroSD method.

And no, flashing Radio is not necessary unless you find problems with your radio while using the new ROM.

but sdconfig is a tool tat help u build the UC list.

isnt it like tat?

Ah, my apologies, confused it up with another software which is also called SD Config which formats your card because some Windows can't do it.

Just noticed that Jack's UC package is also called SD Config.

My top 10? Hmmm excluding all those that has already been provided by Xperia, my top 10 are:

1. Xtrakt (Best mobile game I've ever played.)
2. TouchPal (On par with SE's XT9 numpad)
3. Garmin Mobile XT
4. ThumbCal (Organizing appointments and tasks has never been this easy.)
5. GAlarm (The maxes and maths questions make sure I am really awake.. not just off it and sleep again.)
6. Lexigoo Dictonary
7. Lingvosoft Dictionary French -> English
8. Footprints
9. Resco Explorer
10. MusicID (Identifying music from radio)

P/S : jack's new rom uploaded.

Cannot leh, I'm using *ehem* version, so you understand lah. blush.gif

The problem with Jack's ROM full is that it uses too much RAM, at least on my phone. Most of the time it stretches out to 150/200 M which means 75% usage.

That's insane! rclxub.gif

Maybe I should try TouchX instead. Version 9 is confirmed stable right?

Yes, Jack's ROM is surprisingly very stable and fast, even while using so much RAM.

The only problem of using so much RAM is that I cannot multitask much. Not that I always multitask, but it would be quite annoying if I wanted to use it at that instant.

Added on June 6, 2009, 7:23 pmWow, I didn't notice Jack's FULL is already out. It says that it's 'On it's way' but he actually already include it down there.

Downloading from your webfolder now. tongue.gif

Make sure you install the ActiveX Deployment and R3A Panel Manager from the UC folder.
