QUOTE(Aishiteru^Suki @ May 4 2009, 11:11 AM) Hey guys.. I have been viewing this thread for few days now, just finished reviewing the whole 27 pages.. Currently torn whether to buy Xperia or not.. Dunno whether it suits me as a uni student.. Never try Winmo before and scared of its steep learning curve.. FYI im currently using Samsung i8510 Innov8 and im dilemma whether changing to X1 is really worth it... actually im planning to buy a DC and swap X1 with Innov8 if things go well coz lately been disappointed with Innov8 Camera in low light condition.. the shutter speed and the blurry effect quite Well.. enough of that.. so what do guys think? need sifus opinion here.. really in dilemma.. ow is there any virtual numerical keypad function available for sms coz sumtimes i prefer to type with one hand while doing other works.. Thats all for now.. thanks for your response If you can't tahan Innova8's camera I am sure you can't tahan X1's camera also. As for on screen numerical keypad, try TouchPal. HTC's numerical keypad is nice too but it screws up the built in word prediction option which isn't really useful anyway. But if you're looking for better camera, I wouldn't recommend X1 to you.

QUOTE(Aishiteru^Suki @ May 4 2009, 02:39 PM) Thanks guys for your replies.. Well the main reason i wanna change to X1 coz i wanna try something new and at the same time fedup with my Innov8 camera.. Dont really care on how bad X1's camera is compare to Innov8's coz i wanna buy a digicam too.. (Sigh why X1 has average camera.. why why..) just wanna know if use HTC camdriver, will the camera performance be above average or still so-so?how bout the sound quality from the loudspeaker when it comes to ringing tone? stated in gsmarena the loudness is 80+db which is louder than Innov8.. is it true? Aih.. dilemma2.. Probably if decided not to buy might just wait for X2 @rkwan67 - probably we are not from same U.. dont see anyone interested in X1 here Using the HTC Camera driver will only bring slight improvement, not much. The sound quality from the speaker, quoting my friend: "Eh, why your phone speaker so suck wan?"Hope you get the idea, lol.

QUOTE(feldon_ivor @ May 5 2009, 06:04 PM) okay,i have done flashing using the RUU method, since i cant format my microsd..grr!but now i understand that i have to hard-reset my phone 1st.according to ur method in the 1st page,i first pressed n hold both left n right silver button at the bottom of the screen right?then i have to poke my stylus into the reset hole??erm, where us dat hole again?hehe.. Added on May 5, 2009, 6:10 pmeh screw that..i found an easier way.. just hold the two silver button then press the on button once(while still holding the silver button)..yay!That worked for you? Somehow that method doesn't work for me, saw that quite many forumers are having the same troubles too.

QUOTE(rkwan67 @ May 6 2009, 12:35 AM) it should work actually... juz u nid to confirm that ur phone is completely off when press n hold power button.. besides, da soft-reset hole is located at beside battery ther only... flip over ur phone, take off the battery cover.. is on the right side of battery.. see a small hole ther? I know, tried it and it doesn't work. I resorted to using the clear storage method =_="

QUOTE(reconer @ May 8 2009, 01:28 PM) eh so sry... why u all buy X1 again? got any other benefits? seems to me that SE made an average phone but with high-end phone price? Go read the specs before commenting on how 'average' it is. Thank you.

QUOTE(icycokes @ May 8 2009, 03:34 PM) hi rkwan67, Thanks for the add. Frankly speaking.. i think the X1 was overpriced for a device that built one year ago (although the hardware is still nice for now). More than that, I was disappointed when i found the package contents of lacking pouch and data cable cum charger, to me it shows the stinginess of SE.. As well as a CLASS 2 microSDHC card. No offence.. but i still love this piece of METAL brick! Are you trying to say Touch Pro and Touch HD is overpriced too? Why?

QUOTE(aH wAi @ May 8 2009, 08:14 PM) if you think it's overprice, then u can go for AP lo, no need get original 1, original for rich ppl 1 ma, since some crazy or unknown AP distributor selling it below 2k anyway, over price or not, i still like this phone so much compare to htc diamond and pro. this few days was in training, not really used my phone, the battery can last for 5days with jack's room and average 10~20sms, below 10 phone calls and average music play back bout 30min each days with bluetooth + wifi enable QUOTE(ICDeadPeople @ May 8 2009, 09:37 PM) Waaa.... 5 days aaa? thats impressive i must say.. Yes, I am using Jack's Full ROM now and the battery life is really amazing. The battery life is about twice the life of R2A rom. I'm not joking. I've been leaving it on for 3 days already and I still have 30%.

Of course, lasting that many days means I do not torture the phone everyday. Just some music, SMS, games and calls that's it. Total WIFI time is less than an hour.
I've noticed that the Xtrakt game drains your battery like mad. Most probably because it uses the graphic card which requires a lot more power.

Siliver is not limited edition but there are some dishonest sellers claiming it is limited and hiking the price up another few hundred bucks.
I don't see how changing the housing got to do with Ori or AP. Unless you're under warranty, the price for changing the housing for AP and Ori are the same since they are exactly the same phone.

QUOTE(Mr. Green @ May 9 2009, 10:45 PM) I think Idou is Symbian 5th Edition. The same that is being used on the Samsung OmniaHD, Nokia 5800, N97 and such. It is not. It is the latest OS from Symbian. From reviews, it is said to have a very smooth interface (Partly thanks to Idou's powerful processor) without sacrificing on functionality and usability. Despite many claims that 5800, Omnia or Diamond are Iphone killers, they forgot the very leading edge of Apple's OS is that they are extremely eye catching, smooth and usable. Idou is going at that path, so in my opinion this is the phone that people really need to look out for as the 'iPhone killer'. Resistive and Capacitive touch screens have their pros and cons, so I don't think having one or the other would mean a great advantage/disadvantage. No... I did not have any issues with battery performance. I was just asking how good is the battery performance with smaberg's ROM only. I'm using stock radio at the moment.
As for Blackberry Bold, I am very impressed by how comfortable is the mini keyboard. With 2 handed usage, my typing speed could be faster than in Xperia. I'm not sure though, I have not tested properly.
One thing is for sure, Windows Mobile's occasional lag while typing is hellishly annoying

bro, can it update wordpress?
Mail2Blogger is a system created by Blogger itself. You might find a similar system in Wordpress, I'm not sure. However, you may try a software called moBlog also. Search around for the link, I can't post it because it is a warez site although the software is freeware I think.

If you're looking for a responsive phone maybe Windows Mobile is not for you... Unless your softwares are all in Windows Mobile then X1 is worth a try. Or you could wait for a newer phone with a better processor (Snapdragon) that will be out within months.

Nah not so rich lah I don't think I will be upgrading to another new phone for a long, long time. If something happened to my phone, like stolen then I will just need to buy a not-so-good phone edi.
