Oh yea, forgot to tell that after installing Jack's full ROM with Chinese support, my SPB Mobile Shell's fonts are all in Chinese. I've set my language to English, and no other panels or programmes have the problem except SPB.

Hey guys.. I have been viewing this thread for few days now, just finished reviewing the whole 27 pages.. Currently torn whether to buy Xperia or not.. Dunno whether it suits me as a uni student.. Never try Winmo before and scared of its steep learning curve..

yeah i got... using garmin of taiwan version v5.0.0.030wp.. it is a official minor update for taiwan WM mobile device...

besides, loaded with malfreemaps v.155 lite.. it got direction n left how many km to junction... but i dont noe how to check left KM to destination..

ohya, by default it doesnt give english voice command... then only i go settings page n choose english voice command.. then can heard english voice command...

if u like camera alot and innov8 camera compare to xperia.. xperia camera a lot worse than innov8. 3.2mp, but lot lesser shake-proof... especially on low light.. must be definitely shake-steady hand...

btw, im uni student also now.. using xperia which helps me a lot in any way... i got really a multimedia n all-in-one device all the time.. quite nice..

forget to reply you that.. u can install touch hd keyboard.. so that got full qwerty keyboard, phone keypad, compact qwerty... that is quite nice.. but i still prefer fingerkeyboard which is full qwerty but more customizable and nicer skin...

hope i can help in ur decision... but, if u n me are the same college or uni.. then we can meet up n let u try XPERIA power...hahaha

If you can't tahan Innova8's camera I am sure you can't tahan X1's camera also.

As for on screen numerical keypad, try TouchPal. HTC's numerical keypad is nice too but it screws up the built in word prediction option which isn't really useful anyway.


But if you're looking for better camera, I wouldn't recommend X1 to you.

yeah i second that.. but i still able to cope with xperia camera... it is more better when using HTC Touch HD camera driver...

Well the main reason i wanna change to X1 coz i wanna try something new and at the same time fedup with my Innov8 camera.. Dont really care on how bad X1's camera is compare to Innov8's coz i wanna buy a digicam too.. (Sigh why X1 has average camera.. why why..)

just wanna know if use HTC camdriver,will the camera performance be above average or still so-so?how bout the sound quality from the loudspeaker when it comes to ringing tone? stated in gsmarena the loudness is 80+db which is louder than Innov8.. is it true?

Using the HTC Camera driver will only bring slight improvement, not much.

The sound quality from the speaker, quoting my friend:

"Eh, why your phone speaker so suck wan?"

haha, dont so kan cheong.. i think PDA speaker is like tat 1... straight compare xperia with my W900.. sure W900 nicer.. but still phone speaker i dont trust it..

i dont think of any pda now got nice speaker.. but my old o2 atom life do have a quite clear speaker.. n it is stereo also...

hmm, then sad.. i saw 1 or 2 xperia around my college only too.. doesnt hav much.. but do saw some touch pro...

HTC Touch Pro's speaker is about the same as X1 anyway.
