err any sifus know how to backup whole X1 ROM image before we flash new firmware?

If don't like the new firmware then can flash back the backup image without data lost...like old skol Moto E398

hmm, like tat 1 actually. data from old rom doesnt able to apply into new ROM... if u flashed to new rom dy.. wan back everything.. tat is impossbile..

only possible is backup everything with SPB backup.. then flash new rom.. then flash bak old rom, then re-apply everything bak. i know is no point of doing that la.. but rom is not backup-able.. rom must be flash while cannot be backup.. what i mean here is, most of da files in rom, is keep away to be able to backup..

i hard-reset b4.. then reapply everything from SPB, it works... all software n settings bak.. but i pretty sure, if i upgrade to another rom, it wont works well...

haha. bro.. can get ar... hardly get such nice leather casing here leh.. plan to get from our forumer selling PDAir leather case.. but so expensive...lolz..

no budget, then end up buying a RM15 pouch from novacell...haha

im abt to flash my ROM for d 1st time..been reading a lot of stuff..1 quest,how to format microsd with FAT32?

hmm, remember to flash hard-spl 1st... u cannot flash 3rd party rom before flash hard-spl...

btw, microsd should b all the time fat32 dy.. u can juz plug it in into ur phone n try to flash... u cannot flash, then only u use card reader to format it..

to format, right click da icon in my computer, then choose format.. then "file system" ther choose FAT32..

ok thanx..but that is to flash through microsd method rite?but what if use the ROMUpdateUtility?is it easier?i juz dloaded it..ayo,very scared la to flash..lol

actually both method oso can use to flash.. but romupdateutility u nid to take the risk of data cable connection loss... if ur data cable suddenly lost, then gone..

if using microsd is lots more safer... but romupdateutility is needed for flashing hard-spl... radio n rom flashing can use microsd method..

okay,i have done flashing using the RUU method,since i cant format my microsd..grr!but now i understand that i have to hard-reset my phone 1st.according to ur method in the 1st page,i first pressed n hold both left n right silver button at the bottom of the screen right?then i have to poke my stylus into the reset hole??erm,where us dat hole again?hehe..

just hold the two silver button then press the on button once(while still holding the silver button)..yay!

That worked for you? Somehow that method doesn't work for me, saw that quite many forumers are having the same troubles too.

it should work actually... juz u nid to confirm that ur phone is completely off when press n hold power button..

besides, da soft-reset hole is located at beside battery ther only... flip over ur phone, take off the battery cover.. is on the right side of battery.. see a small hole ther?

I myself preffered flashing ROM with mscard. Easy and simple.
So, what ROM are you planning to flash first? Be warn, you will addicted to rom flashing once you try it.

yeah.... correct...... once u flash u will sure addicted. but no worry as our rom designed n build to be able to withstand of 100000 times of flashingm so no worry n go ahead......
