What will happen to X1 if we flash stock SPL before revert back to stock ROM?

alrite sure.. i downloaded the wrong things.. now re-upload again.. take some time..

like our member said.. must R3AA first.. then only stock-SPL.

Added on June 10, 2009, 1:07 ami think it might brick the device. as u can see from XDA-developers site.. they bold everything that must revert to stock rom b4 flash back the stock-SPL.

it might permanently brick out device i think. but i only tried to flash stock rom first then only stock-spl on my xperia n as well as my touch pro. no problem thou..

doesnt dare to torture the device yet..

what is ur problem actually? please dont simply flash here n ther if u really doesnt familiar with flashing procedure. it might really brick ur phone. n i doesnt hope u get into such cases where nobody can help to un-brick ur xperia n throw it away for nothing. please read the guide 1, then post some question if u really doesnt know how. then only u flash it when u got confidence with it.

SPL is not a play play thing, better follow the instructions or just send your xperia to me rather than sending it to heaven.

I think I read somewhere some ppl able to get bricked X1 back to life......maybe bricked because wrongly flashed ROM, not SPL

Flashing ROM is not that dangerous unless you go to some cap ayam ROM then, you know lah.

But as for SPL, you flash back to Stock at wrong time...

yeah lor.. scare scare la... better follow tightly to the guide.. n hope that nobody give out wrong infor or steps..really can kill other's xperia 1..

nvm dont worry my r3 had back haha but had waste le many hour go for jack rom touch it and other all but i dislike it like htc style so keep wan go back r3 ....but thk alot u all detail...

i juz flashed jack's 3.4..love it so far!!anyways,how to change all the chinese fonts to english(like in calendar for example)?i cant understand it...hee

You wont be able to flash rom, thats all.
So basically your x1 is back to its original state, where you cant flash any 3rd party rom (including official rom if its not flashing directly from SE website).

goto sytem/regional setting then change back english....

i dint wrong 1st i flash back to 0.72 then use seus it change to 0.78 coz i flash back to r3 so now i think is 0.78 ba hehe if i m wrong pls correct me still newbie at here...

If I'm not mistaken itje released a pure R3A Touch IT ROM without any TF3D theme. Was it Touch IT v9? Not sure.

i try all rom at rkwan de website but i still love r3 original from sues ger hehe ^^ my contact u can check at my signature there ... i m a jphone member also a X1 member ...My rom is Official orginal from SE R3

Different people different taste lol. I prefer custom ROMs not mainly because of TF3D which we can still install in original ROM. The main thing I like about it is that it is much faster and smoother than original ROMs.

yeah.. i second that.. 3rd party rom provide more stable device to me.. but sometimes wrong 3rd party or beta version really make device even worse than stock rom. but still love TF3D, so still stick with it.

anyway, flash stock-spl b4 flashing stock rom. does it work? as far as i know, that either wont success SPL or might brick device. anyone tried b4? i always flash stock rom b4 get my HARD-SPL removed.

Flash my XPERIA for third time. This time I'm using Jack 3.4 Full. Before that I was using Touch-IT v10 but didn't really satisfied with the performance. I don't know why but I'm feeling it is slower than Touch-IT v9. Maybe it just me.

Btw. I can't hardreset my XPERIA using the method on the second post in the first page. I've been trying the method several times but to no avail. After spending some time searching in XDA forum, I'd found another way to hardreset the phone.

1. Turn off the phone completely.
2. Press and hold both silver buttons below the screen.
3. Boot up the phone by pressing the power button.
4. Read the instruction on the screen.
5. Press 'r' on the keyboard to reset the phone or 'x' (if I'm not mistaken) to cancel. Btw. don't even bother to look for keyboard on the screen. It doesn't exist. You have to slide the keyboard and hit the 'r' key (or 'x' to cancel).
6. That's it. Your phone will be restored to factory default.

haha.. same same here.. but i still prefer newer software compare to old menu used in Jack's 3.4. i think i might flash to valkrie 1.7 2nite.

BTW, for the hard-reset stuff.. did u press n hold all 3 button together. u nid to hold the two silver button together n poke ur stylus into the reset hole and HOLD it.. not juz poke but poke and Hold... then it should work.

1 things that i dont think the method u mention above.. is u nid to completely off ur phone b4 hard-reset. and clearly that after flashed.. it juz said flash complete but it wont turn off the phone. n by taking battery out straight from xperia when it is still on.. it sound hurt. so i rather make a soft-reset method rather than nid to off ur phone completely.

that is my personal thought n advise.
