btw if ts u care bout the leds in fan,try to avoid cm fans.their airflow are good and silent yes but their leds have high failure rates

and get some sound insulation foam or a fan controller

well if u want to have a silent setup, try to uses highend cooler for the CPU and Graphic card couple with low RPM fan ...

and cover those unnecessary ventilation holes, leave the fan intake and exhaust ..

dusty fan wouldnt make noise... just if old fan with worn bearing will make noise...

like my friend... he open up all cd bay cover and put a table fan to blow directly in to the case

u can try use fan controller...or if u know about electrical,u can DIY ur fan controller...cos it usually used variable resistor to adjust the speed of ur fan

Yes but sumbeam reobus is a good choice too... 50 odd bucks i suppose. The heatsinks on the resistors are good too...

Kampung have more dust than city. Ok that's what's going on over here. And the home-use-fan really blow alot of dust around. Damn I need Aircond lah......

Usually I need to clean tose fans around once after 2 or 3 month, damn dusty. Ah hei, is there any 'Mini-Aircond' we can fit into the casing... LOL!

Oh hei, there is USB-fridge available.... heeheehee

Lol..I think city would be more dusty than kampung, since city has more transport travelling around, more construction side and more industrial area..

get from car audio shop, after doing up cars, they may have looser smaller pieces to sell cheep cheep. smile.gif

also, some fans run differently facing up or facing down. eg; slower when facing down ( airflow down ), faster when facing up ( airflow up ).

good bearing fans have little resistance while sleeve bearing fan or lower grade ball bearing fans are usually like this & they have shorter life span.

if ur curious to know how good ur fan is, try holding ur fan while its running & flip it around 360degree - any how flip, and u may notice at some angles, there is more vibration & the rpm drop. U can monitor this by plugging it into ur mobo 3pin header ( for rpm sensor able fan ) and monitor the fan speed.

quite fun to understand your fans' characteristics like that. then u can plan where & how to put them.

small fan doesn't make it as loud as my large fan..???

cos i got 3 large fan 250mm
only got 1 small fan 80mm
