Soundmagic PL20 received in good condition. Thank you.

First impression: comfortable to wear at default eartip size. Should I change to double flange? Any good reason to use double flange?

And one question, there are 2 very thick black color earpiece, what is the use?

Sounds good, up to my expectation, less bass than EP630 but much more detail and overall better listening experience. Burning now....

Thank you.

Double flange usually provide better sound isolation, somesaid it will let more high to goes through, I'm not sure it's that the theory but usually when I find one IEM abit bassy, I do change the eartip to double flange, certainly tighthen the bass abit and sound more balance.

Those 2 very thick black color earpiece are like Shure "Olive" foam, of course it's not as high grade as Shure one, using it will bring more bass to your IEM smile.gif

Anyway, thanks for your first impression against EP630, glad that it's up to your expectation smile.gif

If mozart, PL20's clarity suits you ... new music thats on air = radio? If this is the case, depends on your favourite radio channel, western or eastern? Cos I found most of the western pop song involves more with bass compare to eastern pop song which mostly emphasis on vocal smile.gif

Boss,
I wonder how's this IEM compared to Crossroad Mylarone XBi and Bijou?
I lost my XBi and undecided between this and Bijou..

Do you have any photo of the accesories come in with it? I normally use it to listen to my iphone and PSP. My music range from classical to rock.

Thanks

PM me if can cause I seldom check LYN.

Appreciate it if you can give me your feedback on this.

Thanks

Have received the PL11... Here's the initial review (keep in mind, it's a battle between a RM60 and RM170 IEM, there's a RM90 gap here) from a tone deaf basshead
+ his (supposedly) crappy Nokia 5800... biggrin.gif

Initial testing with my Nokia Tube after 4-5 hours of burn in - Not bad at all for a RM60 IEM, kicks my old HPM-70's backside, that's for sure.

Although it loses to the Bijou 3 in terms of bass quantity and control - bass sounds a bit distorted and flabby with the EQ settings I'm using right now in comparison to the Bijous (and even then, my Bijou's are probably well past the 150 hour burn-in mark, not really fair comparison)... biggrin.gif

In terms of Build Quality, I'm quite surprised, it's NOT quite as cheapo as I'd imagine. Although a bit disappointed it came with a Y-Wire rather then a J-Wire (POI boss)... In terms of the quality, the wire's softer then the ones on the Bijou, and lighter + a straight jack vs the angled one on the Bijous... Just hope it doesn't spoil easily... sweat.gif

I like the shirt clip design, though!

The eartip casing is metal+plastic with a METAL earwax filter summore (vs the crap fibre mesh I got with me Bijous), great... Although the plastic parts feel a bit creaky (oh well, even my un-creaky Bijous turned loose on me in the end)... thumbup.gif

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

And the sales package ain't shabby too: You get your usual earbuds assortment + a Shure Olive copy that works quite well + cable tidy (using with the Bijou right now, the hippowarp not practical to shorten the wire) + pouch... Not bad for a RM60 IEM... thumbup.gif

So, my initial verdict: FOR NOW, it's great as a backup IEM for me (AND the bijous stay on the Tube)... Shame I don't have an EP-630 to compare to... sweat.gif

But the wonders that some burn in can induce can never be underestimated! Lets see how this thing evolves... thumbup.gif

@GodLuvSxS: Great service mate... Order yesterday arrive today, I can only give three thumbs up for that man!

A HUGE problem is Left and Right is unmarked on the earpieces though, so I still have NO idea which side I'm shoving up my ears... sweat.gif

Hi bro, give the PL11 more burn in, this dude shares his experience here tongue.gif

Headfier - LTUCCI1924's comment on PL11 - SOURCE

BEFORE BURN IN
I got these today. BOO is all I can say. First they have the J cord. Boo
I put them into my clip and where is the super bass. Boo there is none at all.
They have no sound stage. Boo. Now I know these were only 10.00 but they are not worth even that.
I then put on my moded PL-30 and wow lots of bass with a large sound stage for only 10.00 more. They should call the PL-30 super bass.
LOL. Sorry folks but the PL-11 are loseres big time and I hope the other 10.00 PLs are way better but I have a feeling they are not.
You just cant go wrong with the PL-30 even for 50.00 but 29.00 at head direct.
One good thing though. they come with lots of tips and a clip with a cord winder and nice bag.
The tips have a bi-flange that is bigger than the ones that came with the PL-30 and I am useing them on my PL-30.
I am burning the PL-11 in for a good 50 hours for some strange reason. lol

AFTER BURN IN
OK Its been about 8 hours burn in and boy what a difference. The bass has come out by lots and there are very good highs and mids.
Now they have more bass than my PL-30
but I had to go through many different tips and found that the very small tips works best for me.
I normally use much bigger tips on my PL-30. I will give these 100 hour burn in if needed and will check on them every 8 hours.
I guess you would be as happy as him after some decent burn in brows.gif Hope to see further review from you

Both PL11 and PL 20 also selling at same price? Please Pm me the detail regarding the warranty terms and the accessories come with these two earphone.

Mostly i am asking for the clarity of the sound with a solid bass ( not heavy). Which model is more suitable?

Serious buyer here. Hope to get your PM as soon as possible as i need a suitable earphone for my MP4 soon.
