Wahaha, was waiting for somebody to bring in the PL11s (AND the NuForce NE-7M, but that's a diff story altogether)...

Wondering if somebody can do a comparison between these and the Bijous... Maybe if nobody up to the task I'll "pejam mata" and part with some of me own money...

P.S. Any news of a 2nd Lear LE01 bulk, mate? Missed the last one...

Have received the PL11... Here's the initial review (keep in mind, it's a battle between a RM60 and RM170 IEM, there's a RM90 gap here) from a tone deaf basshead
+ his (supposedly) crappy Nokia 5800...

Initial testing with my Nokia Tube after 4-5 hours of burn in - Not bad at all for a RM60 IEM, kicks my old HPM-70's backside, that's for sure.

Although it loses to the Bijou 3 in terms of bass quantity and control - bass sounds a bit distorted and flabby with the EQ settings I'm using right now in comparison to the Bijous (and even then, my Bijou's are probably well past the 150 hour burn-in mark, not really fair comparison)...

In terms of Build Quality, I'm quite surprised, it's NOT quite as cheapo as I'd imagine. Although a bit disappointed it came with a Y-Wire rather then a J-Wire (POI boss)... In terms of the quality, the wire's softer then the ones on the Bijou, and lighter + a straight jack vs the angled one on the Bijous... Just hope it doesn't spoil easily...

I like the shirt clip design, though!

The eartip casing is metal+plastic with a METAL earwax filter summore (vs the crap fibre mesh I got with me Bijous), great... Although the plastic parts feel a bit creaky (oh well, even my un-creaky Bijous turned loose on me in the end)...



And the sales package ain't shabby too: You get your usual earbuds assortment + a Shure Olive copy that works quite well + cable tidy (using with the Bijou right now, the hippowarp not practical to shorten the wire) + pouch... Not bad for a RM60 IEM...

So, my initial verdict: FOR NOW, it's great as a backup IEM for me (AND the bijous stay on the Tube)... Shame I don't have an EP-630 to compare to...

But the wonders that some burn in can induce can never be underestimated! Lets see how this thing evolves...

About the LEFT/RIGHT marking, FINALLY found it, really small raised letters on the plastic stress relief... Will edit review accordingly...
