Hmm, there's actually five models of soundmagic, PL 11, 12, 18, 20 & 30. With 30 being the top of the line, 11 being the most bassy, and 20/18 being balanced.

Based on my Hong Kong friend who actually own all those five IEM, actually PL12 is the best selling in China and Hong Kong, but to his ears it just too mid oriented ... not as balance as PL20, which offer slightly better bass quantity and impact. PL18 is a tad tiny too clean, lack the musical ... PL30 offers airier presentation among all but the innovative housing does make fitting abit more difficult and less comfortable. PL11 suits western pop music best ...

Initial impressions are good burning it in now.. I bought this as a rough wear and tear buds while working out
at the gym.. and I'll put it to the test tonight. Will post my amateurish impressions after a few days when I have
the buds fully burned in...
