for hospitality students, its compulsory to wear formal everyday. its easier for girls to stray abit as you know, girls have lotsa styles but for guys, it's quite hard not to wear formal, long sleeve shirt and black pants. as for tie, it depends on lecturer and what kind of classes youre having.

haix..
I thought i go there can wear casual already.
who knows still formal.
And what will happen if i do not wear formal to class. kick out from the class?

if hospitality student muz wear formal everyday~
there is a new rule in lake side campus.
whoever caught if against the rule will get a red card==...and they will give u a warning letter==
today is my orientation day.
i m very dissapointed with the chairs&tables~
it's small n without drawer..
it's not comfortable if compare with hospitality campus.

I just wondering its that the new campus for Taylor college ok already or not?coz i saw the advertisement they said ready on 2009.but when is really the date for launch?coz i'm thinking to continue degree in hospitality there.

Hey, Taylor's Lakeside Campus is partially ready. School of Hospitality and Tourism (TCHT) has already started their orientation today in the Lakeside Campus. Other than TCHT,Biomed, Engineering, Business Law, Foundation in Science and Medicine will relocate to Lakeside Campus this month as well.

For all other tertiary programmes for example, Architecture, Mass Communication and Computing are going to move from March onwards. I think by mid of 2010, we will all be completely moved to the Lakeside Campus.

The Lakeside Campus is awesome!!! rclxms.gif

would i be fecked over if i turn up on orientation day wearing casual attire instead of office/formal attire? i mean, it IS the first day, and 'supposedly' i didnt know about the dress code until that day itself? tongue.gif

I'm not sure where I read this from (or I might be imagining things), but I recall something along the lines of students enrolling before the lakeside campus not having a change in fees.

There will not be any increase in fees for those students which continue their programme. But for the new students, fees will might hav a slight increase as you kno that education fees increases every year about 5 - 10% =)

So how's your first day in Lakeside Campus? I supposed all orientations of TCHT have been carried out. I believe it is okay not to wear the dress code on the first day itself. But don't you think you will look smarter in formal attire tongue.gif

What do you think about the facilities and the environment there?

you could stop there but that one is about 10 minutes walk ^^" There's another bus stop also in that area,I don't know how it is if your from LRT Kelana Jaya but when I took the bus to go to LRT Kelana Jaya the stop is before the one in front of Sunway Court.

well there's not really any noticeable landmarks ^^" just from the bus stop walk straight and turn right. On the way to Taylor's on your right would be a gated housing area and on your left would be flats.
