AOpen cases, and most of these small cube cases in general, are ok so long as you have tiny exhaust fans on the side of the case. Failing that you shouldn't be using CPUs that overheat too much (those above 65nm) or any graphic cards. You will also need to direct a fan at your north and southbridge.

I wonder if using this on board grafix system such as zotac or DG45 boards for watching blu ray, will the picture quality like 'cassete ' player quality meaning, nothing fantastics.

to watch blu ray, is there any special grafix card to properly display the pixel ? or there is no choice to stick to the main stream blu ray player ?

what holds me back is that when playback using the BluRay player such as pioneer, Denon, Marantz, etc the color and clarity looks superb. Computer htpc doesn't seem to display the clarity and color as accurately as mainstream player.

what is your experience.

Those are quite big... thinking smaller ones... like the Ahlian PC-Q07. Anybody modded one yet?

OK manage to view the MKV using onboard G41 ASUS P5QPL-VM. the picture quality is not very far off from the mainstream (like 70% of it). sound is using usb dac.

thinking of getting either ITX (G45) or uATX. the ITX looks more HTPC like but lacks the features. The XQBOX 501 looks more promissing.
