I have a question here guys and gals... I have a system with Q6600 cooled with a corsair H50 and a 9600GT and 4gb (1gbx4) of rams... I want to turn it into a SFF with a Mini ITX mobo and casing. now, question is, which mobo and casing can I use that is under RM500 that can use all the items above and keep the 4gb of rams?? thanks!

most ITX mobos have only 2 slots... so i guess ur gonna have to switch to 2x2gb.....
as for casing...dont think theres any ITX case that supports the 120mm fan of ur H50 instead of going ITX, i think going to the slightly bigger m-ATX would give u better options. |

any G31 or G41 mobo....but still only 2 ram slots....not sure if there are any with 4 ram slots...
G45 mobos has 4 ram slots but are expensive...bought my gaygay g45 for RM475. as for case....Lian Li V351 should be able to fit ur H50...but thats just a guess..not too sure. try n google for watercooled V351s...im sure theres a few out there...then u can check on ur radiator mounting and clearance. edit: found a g41 mobo with 4 ram slots GA-EG41MF-S2H (dunno price n availability) guess theyre available..just need to do some searching This post has been edited by mADmAN: Mar 3 2010, 04:36 PM |

H50 does appear to fit in the ITX SG05/06:
![]() But I think you'll definitely need to switch to 2 x 2GB for your RAM haha. *EDIT* Another one, altho this guys swapped to using a full size PSU, hence the extra butt end ![]() This post has been edited by evilnickwong: Mar 3 2010, 05:07 PM |

I recently moved from a A05 to a SG03, so some photos to post.
A05 was a super spacious case, so SG03 was cramped in comparison. I decided the only way to get half-decent cables was to custom cut all the lengths for the SG03. I finally got around to it last weekend, and also upgraded the cooling at the same time. You know you're in for a painful few days when you see this: ![]() Finished PSU along with some new Slipstreams: ![]() I originally intended to do MurderMod single cable sleeving, but found that all those cables wouldn't fit back into the PSU later, so I did 2 per sleeve instead. Sleeve the SG03 small stuff too: ![]() Replaced the stupidly small i3 HSF with a Shuriken RevB. Worked well, about 10C lower than the stock HSF: ![]() Quite satisfied with the final look: ![]() Thank goodness it works after all that cable hacking ![]() |

nice work on the PSU...though i find after installation the individual sleeving makes it look messy... a single big sleeve for the 24pin and a single smaller sleeve for the molex/pcie connectors would have made things look tidier
n wat happaned to the PSU fangrill?? |

Perhaps, but I quite like the look of the sleeving haha.
I removed the fan grill long ago, less noise and it's not needed anyway. |
