I have dry eyes as well, does that mean I am not suitable for Acuvue Moist Daily with astigmatism? I thought Moist is supposed to provide water to your eyes instead of drawing more tears from your eyes
I am thinking either to buy daily Acuvue Oasys or Moist with astigmatism

i personally prefer oasys biweekly toric lenses, J&J recently launched their oasys daily toric lenses also, and its very comfortable too.

Hi jialat, want to know which brand should i go to for daily astigmatism contact lens? currently using Air optic monthly lens.

Noticed this B&L astigmatism daily lens but not sure if the moisture level is good enough as I tend to have dry eyes due to long hours of working with laptop/screen/phone

thank you

yes, if you are not wearing contact lenses on daily basis, then its much convenient and hygienic to use daily lens and dispose them after usage, especially for sport purposes.

I personally prefer using spectacles. Feel that contacts use for sports or special purposes will do. For looks, wearing specs looks good too, just need to choose the frame that suits your face.

However I have a friend, a bit concerned for her because she always prefer use contacts, says that wearing spectacles feel uncomfortable for her eyes. Got such thing? Thought spectacles is more comfy? Maybe her spectacles the power not right la. Any specs shop can recommend which does a good job for this?

Maybe her power is high, lens thick and heavy thus lead to the discomfort. contact lens no added weight and looks better for gals that do make up on face.

where is her location? i can recommend a nearby optometrist for her.

please change the place you get the lenses from

wrong lens, wrong power

dry eyes not suitable to use daily lens which has high water content to draw more tears from your eyes

eyes feel strained and tired, means wrong power
*
I went to another optometrist to check my power and get a new pair of lens (Acuvue Moist 1 day)

Eyes no longer feel strained and tired but it still turns red after few hours...
Do you sell contacts lens in pairs? because i want to try various brand (oasys toric/air optix) before i buy a box.

Thanks Jialat smile.gif this thread is like over 10years old already but you still actively helping the fellow lens users.

Hi, best to get her daily disposable contact lenses as she seldom use it and more hygienic to change after sports.

I recently tried both Acuvue Moist and Oasys Toric lenses. The Oasys were superbly comfortable. The Moist was actually softer and felt flimsier. I could wear the Oasys the whole day without issue while the Moist got slightly uncomfortable towards the end of the day. Maybe it was cos I was sleep deprived the day I tested out the Moist. Settled for the Moist in the end since I didn't wear it often enough to justify the price premium.

Yes, it’s considered low power, u should get the dailies lenses. Dispose it after snorkelling.
