From where did you get Dual Core can't support 64- bit Vista?
*
From my notebook and also i am one of the Microsoft Vista Campus launching commitee. According to the Microsoft officials it does not support. I did not belive that my duo core cannot support 64bit vista and tried installing it. And it does not support, duo core can support 64bit xp but not Vista. That is why i want to know if this so called New Dual Core can do the job.

may i know what's your alptop spec?

as from my point of view...the pentium dual core should be able to tun vista 64 the same as core2duo.

maybe the vista64 disk u'r using was damaged one...try another one.

Aspire 5563, Duo Core with Ati X1600. No it cant install, and i used a few disk to install. Since its an event for Vista launching, i got all the disk i need to test lol. Later i consulted the Microsoft guys and they did told me it was not possible. Maybe they have changed it now since much claimed that they can install the 64bit. So it there any user that is validate that ?

maybe you can try negotitiate that you dont want the freebies and just want the extended warranty. Izzit possible ? so leaner dealers would agree.

uhmm... i got this lappy too....

So Windows Vista 32biit doesn't support 4GB ram?

can anyone tell me what new games can be run? even if its LOW settings...

tried DMC4, fresh installed--- so laggy, tweaking it down to lowres ---  runs smoothly.
tried NBA2k9 ---- no hopes. does anyone get it worked?

how bout SIMS 3? Fallout 3? L4D? GTA4? Saint'sRow2? Prototype(Dreaming On. lol) or anymore recommendations?

im not really into games, i just want to know if they work or not, sometimes when I'm at work I'm kinda bored...

THANKS!

Try adjust the speakers loudness with codec packs .. usually i get 'extra' loudness tweaking with it .. but the sound quality will not improve though..
