This is because Vista 32bit is only capable of handling 3gig of ram maximum. Only the 64bit can utilize all 4gig of memory. Even the specs mentioned you have 4gig of ram but Vista will use 3gig as that is the maximum limit. Try Ctrl-Alt-Del and look at the memory resource, it also uses only 3gig for ram.

Yes it covers all except for burnt mark, LCD crack and accident natured such as liquid immerse, other than that hingers//covers//boards//buttons//keyboards all are included in the 3yr warranty package.

As far as i know, Acer starting from Gemstone series does not have issues on LCd hinges while the LCD hinges problem is on the older generation Acer laptops where the silver/black type.

Burnt mark on electronics such as mbo. If got burnt mark then warranty void.

did u installed any drivers or software or even updated the updates on ur windows ? Most prolly the installation made the startup file corrupted.

Try enter safemode by pressing F8 to check if u can enter windows.

Acer phase out models very fast ma .. around 2-3months they considered the model phase out. But to dealers they still have stock and there is grace period of a few months for dealer to sell it off. So its normal if Acer does not preview it on the ads.

if this model selling like hot cake why acer stop the production lol..........

Acer has a policy period for every model. So even if it is selling like hotcakes, they would eventually phase it out and replace it with a better spec in future. That explains why dealers keep stocking stocks on this model as they too understand how Acer works.

I bought an Acer Aspire 4736zG.
Integrated graphics card, HDMI port, 1GB DDR3 RAM, 160GB HDD.
The rest of specs the same.

1st day I bought the screen got problem.
When I attached the charger to my laptop, the backlight display failed to light up.
Happened 3 times within 5 days of purchase.
Sent to Acer service center for repair.

Now still waiting for my laptop after 1 week+.
The technician said they replaced the whole MOTHERBOARD coz the graphic output got sumthing wrong.

Luckily got 1 year warranty.
Well, we'll see how my laptop will perform after this.

Good news : New Motherboard
Bad news  : I went 1 week without my lappy and I miss her..... sad.gif

But do not get discouraged to buy Acer laptops.
As long as got warranty then you are safe.
Only thing is that it is a bit troublesome ler.....

Sorry to hear that, give them a call and ask them why it took so long ? Izzit due to no stock ?
