What happen to this counter? This 2 day.

chilling out until 11 may -> new shares distro

price will drop when people take profit. Axiata already made with our money, its like getting 2weeks interest free loan when it lock our money.

Why you said so ?

I thought the rights issue adjustment is already factored into the current price. So we will not see big fluctuations. Meaning 11 May announcement is just a formality. Can any one clarify ?

Of course, if the rights are oversubscribed, it reflects confidence in the company or at least thats what the newspaper always says & leading to increase of price or vice versa if undersubscribed (however, I suspect not possible, because khazanah should soak up left overs).

Lets compare Axiata with the Maybank.....Maybank share price is going up all the way recently.....probably Axiata will follow the same trend as well Today the stock trade amount of Axiata is very low 84720 which is unusual if compared with normal trade amount ~150k. I believe this is a strong signal that there will be a big fluctuation ahead of us next week. However, i would predict that the Axiata share price will go up instead of a deadly drop since Maybank is one of the good example

For maybank, I think you have to factor in a bit of coincidence. After all, almost all stocks were on the upside & quite a number of them were soaring. So some external factors should be called into play also. Depends on luck & timing.

Axiata took so long to convert the Rights to tradable shares. If could have sold those shares at high of 2.42, lots of good counters to go in now.

It is a little bit tricky recently....from 2.02 to 2.20....and then suddenly shoot up to 2.35.....after that all the other stocks went up crazyly but Axiata only went up 3 sen to 2.38....yesterday suddenly drop to 2.30 and even lower this morning 2.25 and finally 2.32......when all the people think that Axiata has no more potential to grow and sell all their stocks, this will be a perfect oppoturnity for Khazanah or EPF to absorb all the stocks and price went up to 2.50 and then all the people will huh?? OH MY GOD

hahah only next week we can trade the issued rights share

bought axiata at 2.31 on friday.think it will go higher next week.

More share in the market and people will probably sell it to take profit since they bought it at lower price.

lets quess, i say will drop 5% on morning , but ard 4p.m , u will see the price suddenly shoot up . have a look tomorrow

Yep.. Was tempted to sell when it reached 2.38 last week, however, the OR still had not converted.

Those heavy weight will make sure AXIATA price will not panic drop. Should be shu-up further. Else gone la all people will sell off their share.

tomorrow sure people will take profit in the morning for AXIATA... by 11AM if still no drop then we can go in and grab...
For me tomorrow all fund will be in TM for sure!!!
