What about the presentations, the booths and all?

This whole event(if you can it one) blows. It's so low-key that it is almost like lining up to buy a ticket to watch a movie. That's what you get for being so late, Maxis.

@stringfellow,
Should have called U last night if I'd known U were going - had a client function but was hoping to leave; an Associate came by with his brand new iPhone 3G but muAHahahhaHAha was looking for someone to teach him how to use it ; that's where I came in handy for quite a while smile.gif

@chinamobile,
I've been told should there be any problems with the phones, just bring it back to Maxis and they'll replace it with another set.

Another missed opportunity. sad.gif

Yup, the "veterans" are the fallback-to people they go to when there's problem.

I believe the iPhones will be send over to Singapore for repairs, and Maxis will endeavour to loan a unit until your repairs are complete.

Honestly though, during the 1 year period I had with the iPhone EDGE bought from Florida, and the 8 months (and counting) period with my current iPhone 3G, I had not a SINGLE PROBLEM, be it hardware, or software, to worry about. It gets put through its paces, going to places and situations where it is not IDEAL to operate (altitude, temperature extremes, etc), and still it soldiers on without a single hitch. Either I've been blessed with a super-iPhone, or that tells you about the built quality of the iPhone. Sure, peace of mind, local warranty, etceteras, but unless you're Johnny Knoxville doingd Jackass stunts with your iPhone, it lasts. In fact, personally, the iPhone has been the longest-running phone I've held on to. I've been rotating phones around and none of them last more than 6 months before gets sold off. To me, that alone is a testament to its longevity and usefulness.

Yup ... thats true bro string. Even after i poke around the iPhone guts, my iPhone still serving me well albeit I have a scratch on the "scratch resistance screen" . They do built it tough (just don't put it in a blender).

Clearly shows that your next phone will never be other phone and it will remain an iPhone, just like how your next computer will never be other computer but will remain a Mac. Apple builds revolutionary products and bring ease to usability and makes users feel happy and satisfied with it. smile.gif

Totally agree. Those so-called iphone killer will just be a copycat or wannabe version of the iphone, iphone has revolutionize the whole phone industry like it or not, I think they are slowly but surely going to be a solid market leader just a matter of time... rclxms.gif

this is because the crowd was not good as expected by Maxis.
i involve in the pitching of this job (one of the event company), this event is really make me down, if you were able to see Maxis's initial planing, you were WOW.... but not seems that they cut a lot of things out, i think budget constrains....

conclude is, this is just a maxis event which maxis launching their new service packages, you get their packages then get a new iphone... compare to the few discovery week i worked with, the event is abit cant really to show off the apple itself, not even the phone, smth HUHA but just a kitty... (NOT TO OFFENCE ANY PARTIES, EVERYBODY INVOLVE WAS DONE A GOOD JOB! THIS IS ALL MY PERSONAL FEELINGS & THOUGHTS)

this is because they wanna use apple style. Cuz in iphone, it have lots of function and it more on the home entertainments, smth like garage band or others, the booth is use to highlights this individuals features, but seems the ambience setup was abit "straight" and the people inside the booth like enjoying themselve....

But, personally i like their stage and their launching gambit, simple and to the point...
