Funny, i ve got the same problem too.  Been happening 5-6 times from morning till now  (Using Celcom Blue 3g).  Of course, i just do the "disconnect and connect" again as recommended by toilet bowl. And i realize using Celcom Blue, my upload speed is just around 20-40kbps where as using Celcom Prepaid Broadband my upload was a constant 80-110kbps.  Download speed is roughly the same.  My hunch (hunch only not facts..hihi) is, could it possibly because Celcom Prepaid Broadband is a dedicated internet simcard, thus, it is more stable compared to Celcom Blue 3g (voice calls, sms n etc..etc)

Right now, just using back my Celcom Prepaid Broadband.. and much happy using it.  And My Steam download shows a constant 40-45KB/s where as previous Celcom Blue 3g was a 20-40KB/s

Guys, i need to clarification on this...
The prepaid XPAX i have says valid until 26thApril2009, even though i have topup the airtime.
Question is, do i have to also top up for network? (i never used XPAX before, so please let me know on this)
thanx

sure ah? i tot it was a myth only...about da sim card i think it is da same USIM ...da difren is celcom broadband prepaid sim card debarred 4 call n sms...
*
Yeah, that s right, both are using the same USIM with CBP (Cel.Broadband.Prepaid) being barred on call n sms. I dont know, maybe, since it is a dedicated internet sim with no call n sms capabilities, thus better download n upload speeds, better connection ( i have not received the "error code" since last thursday on N82 ) Who knows maybe celcom set it so that CBP to use different route though using the same bandwith (like CB3G and CBP are going to Penang - One uses Jalan Kampung (hence sangkut-sangkut) one uses expressway).. ohh by no means this is a fact, just utterly an imagination. lol.

Well, one thing for sure, the "error code" happened yesterday. Right now, i am using back my celcom blue 3g with celcom modem (ohh i am plugging both simcards here in my comp here). Previously, both comparison made was on N82. Just did my speedtest again, and as expected the downloads are the same but celcom prepaid broadband wins over on the upload speed. 110kbps over 40kbps. Going to use celcom3g blue for the rest of the day, maybe till after lunch, and see how things are going. Hopefully, no more that annoying "error code" thing again.

ahhh no.. validity is like typical other operators.. rm30 for 30days.. rm10 for err 7 or 10days.. no more airtime and network

If you just bought your xpax, i think you should have 30days of validity regardless of the initial amount provided. Like my CelcomBlue 3G
rm8.50 with rm5 credit has a validity of 30days.

about this rm25 celcom 3g prepaid card where you get rm20 3g airtime (or one week's worth of unlimited 3g) - does it need to be constantly topped up or can one buy a rm25 card, use for a week then keep for few months until one wants to use it again at which time one tops up rm20 for another week and so on?

Am i correct here or will the card have some validity date when it must be topped up again. i like the idea of paying rm6 for a day or rm20 for a week as and when one wants it.

you can either call 1111 the cs or just borrow your friends simcard other than celcom, put their simcard let it find the network, then change back your own simcard, the automatic setting will be back..
