Noticed a friend of mine is a jaksis, but what is it?

maximum limit books can borrow by HKU medical postgraduate student:180 for 3-4months(max)

you can rent a van to pick up all the books you want.


in case you can't get the book that you want to borrow, the librarian will help you search for it in all libraries in hong kong.

in a way, it is good..but on another, too long a time or too many books at one time may deprive other students from being able to read them.

i don't think so.if HKU do not own HUGE collection of books, the authority would not simply implement it.that means they afford to do it without any shortcoming.

Hi, Im a STPM leaver applying for this years intake. I got some strange questions, why does product design classified as manufacturing while design & innovation is under mechanical?? I thought both are the same.

Another thing is....... are the music clubs/bands there active?

Does motorcycle thefts happend alot there?

mechanical design & innovation--->you apply fundamental theories to build a car(how you design the moving mechanism of the car...exp: car steering, wheel system.make sure your design will not fail in test/use).if you want the car flies on sky,that's innovation
manufacturing design--->you know how car steering looks like.now, you have to apply your fundamental theories to produce a car steering(exp:apply your manufacturing skills and turns raw materials into a car steering.learns how to control the quality of the steering and design the entire manufacturing process)

if you have a GOOD LOOKING motorcycle,everybody wants it.
melaka is pretty SAFE for student.low crime rate(that's how i feel)...if compare to kl/johor....in kl,you can heard cases happened to student like theft dismantles the entire metal door and break into your house/driving a lorry and helps you move your house properties...anyway,never let your guard down...do extra precaution....a pad lock/car steering lock/strong metal chain wont cost you much if compare to what the theft will takes away from you...

*EXTRA INFO:
1.melaka is heaven to mat rempit(low traffic volume+good road condition)
2.UTeM has terrible HIGH accident records(ESPECIALLY MOTORCYCLIST).every semester sure you heard someone dead on road/broke the legs....last semester we even had exchange student from Germany dead on the road
3.rule no 1:always DRIVE SAFE(no matter how fancy your bike is)


INTERESTING FACTS:
in UTM, the faculty of mechanical engineering(FKM) offers 8 bachelor degree programmes with a total of 1616 students enrollment in 2010. UTM-FKM houses manufacturing/aeroneutics/mechanical/industrial/marine etc. courses in one single faculty.

in UTeM, mechanical and manufacturing have their own faculty.currently, both mechanical(FKM) and manufacturing(FKP) faculty offer 5 bachelor degree programmes. 5 from FKP + 5 from FKM= 10 programmes with approximation of >2600 students(2012).



in 2011, 4 universities(UTM, UKM, UTeM and UPM) are invited by Aerospace Malaysia Innovation Centre(AMIC) to become as Lead University partner as its centre of excellent.[AMIC is a Research & Development centre of excellence formed and bench marked after the model of Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing in Sheffield, United Kingdom]

after evaluating 4 universities, AMIC officially announced that UPM as its Lead University partner.UKM/UTeM/UTM lose out.

I heard from my friend from Ulu Uni's also got a lot of theft cases, like UMP. At least, people in Melaka more mature, want something would also earn it. The reason for me to know is that Im bringing along my guitar, I think I'll try to make it as ugly as possible

Walao...... highway to hell...... Then should prepare a tanker to Melaka dy.

Another thing is my 1st choice is Engineering Technology majoring Product Design, which campus will my course be conducted?

it is because many motorists will ignore the red light at the junction. i think you know which junction i am talking about. one good thing is there is presence of security guards inside the campus.

I've checked through google..... I think my hostel would be in TTU 3 attending under Industrial campus..... I need some info there. It seems that no FTK students are joining the forum here

i have no idea where FTK student lives.if you would like to ask me more about industrial campus, you are free to ask me.if you're lucky, maybe you can meet with 1st batch FTK student here in lowyat.

@xMika said they use City Campus, but website says Industrial Campus. Do you guys often switch campus??

not sure do FTK student study at city campus.but one thing for sure is FTK student studies in industrial campus.FTK faculty administration office is located in industrial campus.
