Nope. Just graduated a couple of weeks ago XD . The last year was a 'cram' year where we took 3 semesters in a year instead of the usual 2 semesters. The 6th semester was during the summer holidays. That's the only good thing I can say about going to IMU and taking the 2.5+1 program; I get to graduate a bit earlier.

Well one third of my class are JPA students (dahlah pressure!) but not all of them are bookworms. A lot of them do get godlike results though XD. Almost all of those who graduated with distinctions (equivalent to 1st class honours) were JPA students. The biggest bookworms are actually the normal students . Well for example, one day my friend brought his senior's textbook to school as he lost his. Since it's his senior's there are obviously notes all over that book and certain portions were highlighted as his senior has you know, finished the entire book. This girl who was sitting beside my friend  saw and freaked out and was all 'OMG you've studied that much? Omgomgomg' and then demanded that he borrow her that book so she can copy any extra notes off it .

Well IMU has this tutor-tutee system where a few students (tutees) are assigned to a lecturer (tutor) and this lecturer is in charge of handling their problems as well as releasing their exam/class test results to them. Each group has 4 students and the other 3 students in my group were JPA students and one of them turned out to be the top student of our entire batch. Now imagine my stress .

LOL I'm no bookworm! More like hardcore kaki ponteng . Don't think I can be a bookworm even if I wanted to as school books make me sleepy and irritated after a while, unless it's exam season then it's a different story. My results were good enough but nothing fabulous. Graduated with a merit (equivalent to 2nd upper class honours). As for that girl, well she didn't get that distinction, in fact come to think of it, almost all of the hardcore bookworms didn't get a distinction.

Will probably start in October if everything goes well. Planning to apply for KL/Selangor (obviously) and maybe Penang or Johor. I've sent in the required forms and called up to arrange for an interview. They told me that they'll get back to me with my interview date but no news yet . Going to wake up early tomorrow to call them since they don't seem to entertain any calls after 12pm. WTF.

Makan sendiri? You mean makan buku yourself? Yea. In Strathclyde they don't really spoonfeed you as much as they do in IMU.

Nope. Being a bookworm can only take you that far since you must not only know your facts but also be able to demonstrate critical thinking in your answers. This is especially true for some subjects where mugging doesn't really help at all and it's almost entirely dependent on your critical thinking skills and how well can you present your answers. Yea distinction is equivalent to 1st class.

I know that it's really hard to get KL/Selangor but still going to try . I'm born and bred in the Klang Valley so yea...kinda reluctant to step out of my comfort zone >_< . They don't even pick up calls after 12. Wtf. Yup going to spam them with calls/emails D: . I'm really worried that they might forget all about me and only remember much later, which means I'll start my pre-reg later and have a lower chance of getting the place I want   .

guy, i'm in a dilema now. i dont know i should take pharmacy in monash or nottingham. can u guy give me some opinion?

since nottingham offer MPharm, mean after i graduate, i can straight away take PhD course right?? btw, let's say money isn't an issue, nottingham is better?

I donno if you're right abt tat. But the last time i heard, you are actually allowed to further to phd level after your Mpharm.

And final year of the Mpharm program you have to do a research like any other master's degree course. 

What's an Mphil? Anyone?

So Mpharm students dont need to submit thesis?

hmm, then where are they going to record down their findings throughout their research studies? 

lol, am not an official Mpharm student YET. Going to become one in this coming september.

Hmm, but since its a master's program and the final year is research study year, i suppose all the Mpharm students will have to come out with their own thesis like any other master's program. Not sure tho, dint really ask the lecturer on the Mpharm open day itself.

Singapore recognizes nottingham's Mpharm too, that's what i was told during the open day by the dean of school of pharmacy.

and yes its true, nott seems to be less stringent than monash when it comes to selection of students. Monash only takes in AAB or higher grades students?

what is your usual internal exam results? you can pretty much predict from there...

I did both my A2 trial and A2 final badly    They say our actual reasult will be very similar to our forecast but for my case, I doubt so. This is what the Nottingham counsellor told me, SG only recognise if you finish all 4 years in either Malaysia or UK

we were informed that graduates from this 2+2 programme are eligible to apply for pre-reg in singapore few months ago.

This is part of the email which was sent to the MPharm students by a lecturer:
"Singapore Pharmacy Board is encouraging our students to register and work in Singapore. You may find that Nottingham 2+2 programme has not yet been listed under the qualification list yet but I have been informed by SPC that they will consider all our students after pre-reg or even to undertake pre-reg in Singapore upon graduation."

Would SG recognise the Pharm and MBBS programs of Monash Sunway in the near future?

Being self accreditation on courses may speed up the process, hopefully.

Hi,guys..i did the stupid-est mistake in my life which was doing diploma in pharmacy so i end up cant enter any university in Msia as they need more than 3.8 cgpa only can enter 1st year and no one in my class reach 3.8,and most funny thing was we actually combined class and study with the degree in pharmacy student.
so i gonna work first and  continue my degree in indonesia next year.so please do not do diploma in pharmacy or else going to end up like me and the rest of my classmates.
