Definitely, even simple prev-next buttons will be of a great convenience, similar to the 2G shuffle!

the idea of having the controls on the earphone is unique and all and kudos to apple for that, but a bit troublesome for people who are kinda picky on the songs they listen to.. like myself... i'd opt for the 2nd gen shuffle..

Apparently you can use regular headphones, but you wont be able to adjust volume, and skip songs.
