IIRC there are an Acer at 1.7k, but with gma crap . Or Cq40 with hd3200 igp, which is 1.7-1.8k at my place. With that kind of budget, you have better luck look for a desktop instead.

I can just say Asus have very good build quality for their mobo and graphic card and I expect the same for their lappie.
