oh?? May I know how much issit to change the screen after warranty? I think mine is still the first gen screen lols!

Was quoted Rm3XX for the LCD replacement but was covered by warranty so I wasn't charged since it was a LCD flaw

SHKv20 have some problem with the touch response, have to do a regtweak or install TouchResponse to solve it.

BUT...SHKv21 is the improved version over the SHKv20 and the touch is back at what it should be, so it's better to go for SHKv21.  thumbup.gif

Both of them are having the new UI, "Start" & "X" buttons are at the bottom, but they looks cool.

I did not test it because I'm using SPB MS3 and I needed the "Start" button on top.

Oh nice feedback bro. Dloaded both but havent got the time to install them. Might just give V21 a try tonight laugh.gif

Added on September 20, 2009, 5:04 pmOh and something do add from my LCD replacement experience. Had to remove my Invisible shield. Came off fairly easily at the service center but did not remove the shield on the back cover since it will not obstruct the dis-assembly of the Omnia. I stuck the removed invisible shield pieces on a sheet of clear plastic which I brought along to the service center (Learning from the experiences of others tongue.gif ). Went home and tried washing the IS pieces with water but unfortunately the adhesive material of the shield turned yellowish and became uneven. Tried to stick it back onto my Omnia but it didn't look good at all rclxub.gif

So my Omnia is bare all over with the exception of a shielded back cover and screen protector.

Oh and has anyone used Capdase screen protectors? Any reviews on it?

hi guys,
a new winmo user here, wanna ask, is there something like cancel button on this phone? currently using the end button to cancel, but kinda troublesome coz i need to redo some of the previous steps again..

anyone can shed some light?

Guess you must be using Winmo 6.1 which comes stock on the retail Omnia i900. If you are talking about just backtracking in menu's there is the back arrow button on screen in Winmo 6.5 which allows you to return to the previous menu. Its not on all of the menu's but its there most of the time.

The other option for Winmo 6.1 is to install another 3rd party interface such as SPB Mobile Shell 3 where the back arrow button is present where you access menu's via the Mobile Shell 3 application (you can access all the settings/programs menu's via the Mobile Shell just like how you can do so by clicking the Start button)

Other sifu's please verify this notworthy.gif

Well so far so good. Do give it a try. MS3 is still my preferred choice as a replacement UI. Very customizable

why omnia gps so hard to find satellite? my omnia gps can't find satellite inside car and outside my house, but it can found on an "open sky" area =.="
*
Hmm.. Seems fine on my Omnia. Locks on to a satellite so much faster than a Nokia device. I find it faster if you prompt it to locate a location upon startup instead of waiting for it to detect satellite strengths upon startup

Just installed SPB Mobile Shell 3.5!!
Really liking the new widgets and swipe response seems to have improved. However I can't seem to get the new 3d carousel to work. Supposedly there is this new 3d view for the carousel however I can only see the normal carousel as seen in the previous release of MS3. Anyone else using MS3.5??
