Am pretty sure haven't tailored anything regarding fonts using sktools..the problem popped up after installation of several calculators apps and downloading mp3 which I'm pretty sure got nothing to do with it

Yup it is tahoma.

BUt I dont have these :
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\OOMFnt\Ht
HKLM\System\GWE\Menu\OOMFnt\Wt

Under the Menu folder I only have BarFnt and PopFnt folder along some other files

To prevent the nuisance of installing everything again, I guess I'll wait for the next official ROM..kill two birds in one shot..

That's very cool..But my storage memory now stands at 17++MB only..too much of apps installed..Afterall, I don't have problem with the original phonebook..ecept with this slight problem of font size going haywire

Anyway, I know that omnia has redundant function for quite some application like what you have mentioned. But since it's one of our precious thingie, I believe everyone will try to make sure every function works well and not look ugly like my distorted phonebook size

Added on May 22, 2009, 1:08 pmI haven't encountered such thing with recent FW..last time only appear as a bug or mem leak in H3..what ROM you are using? update to latest one la if haven't..

However even if you stick to older ROM as in my previous H3 the problem will seems to go away by itself..for unknown reason

I guess it's our responsibility to help out our comrades right..to prevent such recurrence it's better we follow the footstep of the Tubean with their so informative thread..esp known problem with the phone and possible solution..our thread supposed to be highly informative to help out these new Omnians..and I don't mean you Omnian!

1. I'm not pretty sure with your case.. But do you have other GPS software installed as well other than garmin? In my case, garmin and even the phone freeze after I played around the port..probably it interfere with mapking port..so better stick to default garmin chosen port

2. Emm..are you in a one thick jungle, covered with big leaves canopy on top of you? then it will give the same effect like you are in building la..no gps signal

Though, with current IA5, my omnia can locked GPS even inside building though it is only 2D within a minute or two..mind you that A-GPS not on

Must create new folder ah? I don't and still works. it may look messy with all mp3 files here and there in my storage. but this is not PC where you have a large memory and storage..I prefer to reduce folders as much as possible

Well yeah as you expected, I'm living with the tiny font everyday now . still hoping samsung malaysia releasing new FW so I can solve it..a link maybe good as well ..but if they are not releasing it, does that mean they still have bug issue?

I suspect the Pocket Islam apps since it comes with arabic font but am not pretty sure cos a lot app installed at the same time..

But my case is much weird though cos not all font system affected..only numbers in phonebook and fonts in one part of the settings

yup..I never know which one is the culprit..too much of applications installed and have experimented with a lot of other not so suitable apps as well..if the whole font affected then perhaps it is much easier since I can install a new set of font type to solve it..but when only part of the font system changed then I believe a solution is quite difficult to get

hold on. you said speech-to-text? I have been looking for something like this..is it really speech-to-text or the reverse one ie text-to-speech?

I have encountered the same problem with the latest official ROM. but there is no known solution to this other than keeps on aligned it until it won't repeat again. another things to note ensure that your phone in a flat surface otherwise the recurrence of problem will haunt you back.

FYI, now on flat surface, one alignment will be enough for my phone. it will not repeat again

Added on July 6, 2009, 10:19 amIt depends on the type of video/audio bitrate you are using and the codec issue as well.. I'm not an expert on this but being an avid movie-goers on the phone, i knnow some type do not work well on the default Touch player of omnia. even omnia boast with having divx/xvid, the issue is not the file type, but the settings in the video/audio file.sometimes you can't play what supposed to be played on PC only.

perhaps you should use third-party video player like coreplayer.it usually handles a lot of media file quite well

afterall HD utilised the capacitive screen..better responsiveness than current omnia is understandable
