There are 2 types of files that you can installed into your device.

1) CAB files, xxxxxx.cab: Copy it into your "Storage" and click on it from the File Explorer in your device.

2) EXE files, xxxxxx.exe: Connect your device to ActiveSync on your PC with a USB cable and double click the xxxxxx.exe on your PC.

To copy music into your device:

1) Connect your device to ActiveSync on your PC with a USB cable.

2) On ActiveSync, click on Explore and open the folder which you want your music to be.

3) Copy and paste the music as you would normally do on your PC.

I have not used v1.2 before, but you can try.

As for v2.1, I've loaded it HERE.

If you had purchased the v1.2, maybe you can try writing to SPB. They may be able to give you a discount for registering v2.1.

It shouldn't be like this.

Skype & Garmin can be installed into "My Storage" or "Storage Card" and will not take up too much of your main memory. Don't know 'bout TCPMP, but still it shouldn't take up 20MB

What else have you installed?

No, there's no app to increase the ROM or the RAM. It's build into the device and can't be changed.

I'm using a custom ROM from shokka9. It's a naked ROM, without all the craps Samsung put in.

This ROM I'm using also had alot of the useless image & sound files removed, usable/necessary sound files are also compressed, so that's why I have alot of ROM & RAM space.

All my apps, games, ringtones, bla bla bla are installed in "My Storage" except S2U2 and SPB MS. Even Office is in "My Storage".

Check out shokka9's latest ROMs HERE. His ROMs are very stable and fast.

And while you're there, please help me by posting a comment there. I'm trying to bring more life to his thread. It's too quite.
