How lag? Can you explain?

What firmware are you using?

How are your free memory?

What and where have you installed your applications?

What game?

What file extensions?

Based on your free memory, you're on official firmware?
Then sorry, you've no choice, 'cos official FW had many applications, which of course, all of them are in your device memory.

SPB MS3 already almost 8MB. And what about the rest?

Some memory will also be taken up by background programs, like weather update.
Programs not close fully also will use up the memory too.

Using ClearTemp, CleanRam or other memory retrieving application may helps a little.

Why do you Hard-Reset? Normally a Soft-Reset will close all running programs and gain some memory back.

Don't said 41MB, with so many 3rd party WM softwares out there, 410MB pun tak cukup.

Ever think of using a custom ROM? Some have very good memory spaces, but you'll have to sacrifice some applications . Or not .

RAM, Random Access Memory, is part/type of memory to store your running applications/programs. The storage space will be avaliable again when the application/program is closed.

ROM, Read Only Memory, is where your OS, build-in applications and registries are kept. It's space will only be used up as you install more & more applications.
Even you have installed your applications into "My Storage" or "Storage Card", their registries and shortcuts will have to be in this Storage Memory.

Hard-Reset not only clean your RAMs, but it'll clean your ROMs also. Including your notes, appointments and phonebooks etc. It's the same as "Restore Factory Default" for other phone systems, so becareful with that.

There are many custom ROMs out there. Try looking in samsung-omnia.org and MoDaCo.com.

All kinds, depands on the chef. Find out what is removed and what is added-in on their respective thread.

I thought you're using SPB MS3 already? You've mentioned it in your previous post.

I'm using a custom naked ROM, without most of the applications and I've installed what I wanted into "My Storage".

You're on the Official Samsung Firmware, all the applications that Samsung wanted are installed in your device's main "Storage".

If China made copies, I think maybe it'll have more space.

Take a look at THIS.

You can't get the ROSv2. It's not avaliable anywhere.

Try SHKv17, which is the closes you can get.
Or try out SHKv6L, which is very Lite and Fast.

What so many types?

It's not weird. That's the Honeycomb. It's WM6.5's main menu

SHKv20 have some problem with the touch response, have to do a regtweak or install TouchResponse to solve it.

BUT...SHKv21 is the improved version over the SHKv20 and the touch is back at what it should be, so it's better to go for SHKv21.

Both of them are having the new UI, "Start" & "X" buttons are at the bottom, but they looks cool.

I did not test it because I'm using SPB MS3 and I needed the "Start" button on top.

Cooked ROM means Custom ROM, not official release from Samsung for our Omnia. WM6.5 that are out there are all cooked/custom ROMs.

As mentioned above, WM6.5 is good for some and WM6.1 is also good for others. It's all depands on personal preference.
