Affliction Entertainment and M-1 Global are looking for a new opponent to face Fedor Emelianenko at Affliction “Trilogy” on Aug. 1 at the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif.
Multiple sources have told Sherdog.com that the California State Athletic Commission will not license Josh Barnett after a positive test result. Calls to Affliction Entertainment were not immediately returned. The CSAC said a comprehensive statement would be issued Wednesday.
Barnett said he had not been notified of any issues with his eligibility as of Tuesday evening.
“I took my test three weeks ago. I would have thought I would have heard something by now,” Barnett told Sherdog.com.
However, the former UFC heavyweight champion said he had not checked his phone messages recently and later added, “No matter what happens with this, I can assure you I will clear my name. This will not be something that I am defined by.”
****ing **** sucker... barnett tested positive AGAIN !!!! with only 9 more days to go, this happens.
No way barnett will be tested positive cos he's done this a million times... he knew the test would come.... did he do this on purpose? Not to accuse but just saying in might be a possibility...
somemore it's anabolic steroids, not some banned substance administered to him which he did not know about.... damn.
Vitor Belfort has the highest hope of replacing barnett.... which won't be as exciting, cos vitor is a middleweight

barnett is currently back to pro wrestling in japan... Safe to say he'll never fight again in US due to strict testing. He will fight in japan forever.
As for fedor, it's been a roller coaster ride last few days, but UFC is supposed to make a press conference today for some "BIG" announcement..... which can mean he successfully signed fedor to UFC... but i doubt it as i've been following every hour and the contract negotiations doesn't look too good.
Fans really want Fedor to join UFC because imagine the possibilites (fedor vs brock, fedor vs randy couture) but fedor's manager (vadim finkelstein) is too money minded.... he insist they will not sign contract unless UFC co-promote with M-1

Ok.... a lil slow update.... UFC has failed to sign fedor after Dana White was so determined to do it. He said he tried his best but there's nothing much he can do.... blame M-1 (fedor's org/company).
M-1 won't sign the contract unless UFC co-promote (meaning, 50% of UFC's earnings go to M-1)... i think this is ridiculous.... just becos they contribute one fighter and they demand so much money.
UFC was reported to having offered - 6 fights, 30 million contract (meaning 5 million per fight) - Allowing fedor to continue participating in sambo - Fedor can wear as many M-1 logo as he like - an immediate title shot with current UFC heavyweight champ - a cut from ppv's profit on top of fedor's guaranteed pay (5M)
it was later revealed that UFC did not offer 5M per fight, rather, around the region of 2M per fight... Which is still pretty high considering the others even the best are getting paid around 200 or 300k ish per fight. Fedor is offered x10 that amount.... still, M-1 declines the offer unless UFC agrees to co-promote.
It would seem that Fedor would be too expensive for any org to sign.... blame it on M-1
Fedor just signed with Strikeforce... i am pretty disappointed.... Strikeforce has decent competition but the best heavyweights are all in UFC... ................................................ .................................................

i started 2 like MMA all because of fedor but now i think i want 2 stay away from MMA because there is no fedor in ufc anymore sigh
