QUOTE(Sadistic Reaper @ Nov 23 2009, 02:32 PM) dzirhan: Man, i'm tempted to get those weapons from those cheap knock-offs action figures that they sell from TRU's own brand. Makes me wanna get their tanks too. Awesome details for their weapons and vehicles. But bad paint job on some of the vehicles though. Helix pistols, left hand is BBI and right hand is Lanard Corps series Helix assault rifle is from GI Joe Spytroops line Helix rocket launcher is BBI Duke M-249 is BBI The PTE APC is also iffy, the main thing is that you cannot put figures inside it, only in the open hatches so pretty limited in what you can do with it, the Humvees are better along with the aerial rocket helicopter. |

glad you cleared it up on the APC,dzirhan. i almost bought it..yeah the rifles that comes with the figs are flimsy..i threw mine away.but the backpack comes with elastic bands and that's good.i like the elbow and knee pads hence buying 4 (all i could find) figs just for those..
vests are a hassle to put on due to soft material straps. |

dzirhan: Damn, oh well, it's too late anyway, i already gotten the APC. It does make a good display though. But some of the accessories do look nice for a diorama like how darkshadow bought the bunkbed and the locker. Any other vehicles you bought from the world peacekeepers line? How about the tank? It also looked alright though, but since you mentioned that these vehicles can't sit in a fig, i wonder if it were the same for the tank?

I haven't bought the tank so no idea, a tank is more tolerable as you only really need the turret hatch to be openable and able to take in a figure which looks to be the case in the package of the peacekeepers tank. The APC on the other hand really should have places to put figures in and people go in and disembark from whese things. The bradley that Graffitti used to sell is a better buy (I haven't seen it there recently but I doubt they sold them all as they had a number lying around the shop for a while). I bought the rocket helicopter which is fine for putting figures in but skipped the blackhawk as I have a BBI one which is way better. Bought the jeeps and humvees and these all are good too.
The other accessories aside from the guns are all fine, I used a number of them, the vest works better with the vintage joes than with the current 25th/ROC figures as the latter have slightly larger torsos. advocado: What's MOC? How many paravipers are you getting? What's the price? I may require 1 though (not sure if i want 2 yet, still waiting confirmation from my friend getting wave 11 revision 2).
laowai: Yeah, i seen those, you took the same pics in the same mid valley TRU that i hung out lol I was comtemplating hard on if i should bothered with the World Peacekeeper's combat tank... But no, after several viewings on World Peacekeepers, i have to say, their paint job is crap and i changed my mind. Instead, i'm trying to get my friend to order the Super Humvee.. ![]() ![]() Perfect for my joes/cobra desert troops, lots of interchangable parts and the pricing's not bad for USD 23.95 I researched in the web for the 1/18th scaled military vehicles, and i would suggest BBI Elite Force, JSI Industries, Unimax, 21st Century, Bravo Team, Forces of Valor, Admiral Toys, for those who want to collect military vehicles for their joes in the 1:18th scale I may have missed some toy companies, but so far, those brands are the most popped out in the web. dzirhan: Love your classic vintage cobras, i noticed there's a black cobra trooper, i never seen one in vintage before, your own custom? |

Why nobody interested in buying those 1:18 Maisto Humvees instead? I did not notice G.I. Joes are in 1/18 scale.
The World Peace Keeper Army paint version looks better esp the roof turret. Nobody getting Black Hawk? Reaper MOC mean Mint On Card. I want to get 3-5, around rm45-50 each (including international post). BTW what to do with those World Peace Keeper figures? They look like crap... Not a custom figure, the Cobras are all from the 2004 Cobra Infantry set which contains 4 troopers and 2 squad leaders. http://www.yojoe.com/action/04/infantrytrooper4.shtml |

I have a Maisto Humvee (given to me), while they are suppose to be 1/18, you cannot fit any figure in them at all and this is the vintage joes, which are smaller than the current ones. Companies have different scaling on how they measure 1/18 so you sometimes get significant variations, years ago on the US forums, we were told that in most cases, the toys were actually made to fit in a specific box size rather than be accurately scale, hence if you notice the 1/18 maisto sports cars are almost the same size as the Humvees and Humvees are pretty huge (seen them up close in person before) and there's no way the sports car should be the same size as a HumveeAdded on November 24, 2009, 8:50 pm QUOTE(Sadistic Reaper @ Nov 24 2009, 08:41 PM) Oh, i would like to find a bradley too This post has been edited by dzirhan: Nov 24 2009, 08:50 PM |

dzirhan: Yeah, i'm from KL, and yeah, i saw that bradley in Grafitti. You paid RM 145? I may think that they might not sell it or they may jack up the price further. I'm not sure if i want to get such an old bradley from them too though, its been displayed there for...i dunno how many years in there, 2-3 years?
Do you collect any of those 1/18th scaled aircrafts? A lot of them are very awesome looking (not talking about World peace keepers though) |

They should have boxed Bradleys available not meaning you buy the one in the window display Do you collect any of those 1/18th scaled aircrafts? A lot of them are very awesome looking (not talking about World peace keepers though) I collect 1/18th and 3 3/4 modern military so I do have some of the 1/18th jets and helicopters. I have the BBI F-16, F-18 Hornet, Blackhawk helicopter and little bird helicopter, the jets, while accurately scaled are a little too big to put next to my joe aircraft and the other toyline military aircraft I have. I've seen the TRU F-22 but think the Joe Thunderwing I have is way better, the TRU one looks a little underscale IMO. |

m o m o: I seen the tank for the world peacekeepers, they're quite detailed, the threads by the looks of it, do work, turret can go up and down and turned, 1 hatch that can be opened i think but i hated the paint job. Kinda lame paint job, unless you do a custom paint job on them. I'm tempted to get one but i wanna check for the other vehicles for the other products first.

BBI was actually sold here in 2002 or so in certain speciality stores, U parkson, TRU and Isetan, to be honest, my jets haven't been assembled yet due to lack of space to display them, I'll try and post pics of some of the stuff I have before I head off to Langkawi on Sunday. |
