darkshadow: Oh, i bought the D&D booklet for do it yourself diorama. Each page shows the "parts" and allows you to cut and you have to paste it, assemble the diorama yourself. But i did do a bit of custom there, because the pages for the booklet are too thin, so i added another layer of a thin board to construct the dios to make them durable and not flimsy. It's not really in scale with the Joe figs though, it's meant for D&D miniatures. The miniatures about the length of your Joe's knees. But the houses and towers are pretty big once its completed. Its suitable for dioramas. I only completed 3 buildings and never went to complete the rest of the buildings (it's too much of a hassle)

where did u buy the booklet?
the exterior of your dio looks like the real thing tho' its only printed on.

i saw some cool dios in gaming shops..real awesome work and the time taken to paint the figures by collectors..i remembered buying some of the games workshop figures and paint them but that was wayyy back in mid 90s.

darkshadow: Oh, i bought it straight from Borders book store. But MPH book stores do sell them. I'm not sure if they still sell these though, i bought them 2 years before. But you can always get them online, they have the same stuff on their D&D website (i think they still have it or you could surf around to find these online made by RPG players) for free. Just print them and then add the layer of the thin board, assemble and voila!

I never had any skills in painting miniatures, they're too small and very, very difficult to paint on. I need proper tools to paint those and a very, very steady hands.

Based on what my boss said just now, hasbro is not gonna restock GIJOE figures that much now coz they are not selling well. And the RHINO is not coming to malaysia. ahhh well...not much modern time people know GIJOE cept the ppl who were born during the 80s and 90s.

i was chatting with the owner of my regular toy store today and he told me last week hasblow rep visited him..the rep inform him that till March next year, there wont be any new Joe shipements to Malaysia.

also, i talked to TRU supervisor few days ago and he said that after the X'Mas clearance (that is ongoing now) is over, for the first 4-5 months of next year,Hasblow will reduce new shipments for Joes and TF.or mayb no new shipments at all.

so this is either good or bad news for us collectors..the good news is we get to save moolah but the bad is we won't get some of the cool stuff that will be available in the States.

ahhhh....right. sorry for the misunderstanding. ahh well, this explains why they are not bringing the RHINO in...

I still don't get it though. Why are they doing this? just to avoid scalpers?

Well, if you check the listings posted at joebattlelines,

http://www.joebattlelines.com/phpBB3/viewt...p?f=103&t=13748

it pretty much indicates that nothing is down the pipeline in US till Jan and Feb (and that's assuming Hasbro is on schedule), and doesn't rule us out getting the stuff (we could just get the jan/feb stuff in March) not to mention that Hasbro probably still has stuff in their warehouse which will ship out during that timeframe. Keep in mind stuff that showed up here such as Hall of heroes and the ROC first wave were much later than their release in the US.

After March next year? Oh god, no new shipments of GI Joes? cry.gif

Somehow, i sorta sense this coming but i refuse to believe it. Crap, if its like that, after march, i have to start ordering them from Ebay more often sad.gif

But i think the independent toy shops might bring some joe figs in once hasblow stops their new shipments. Which also a good and bad thing, coz some of the independent toy shops will definitely jack up their prices on this sweat.gif

Hasblow's biggest mistake is jacking up the price up to RM39.90 per fig, a lot of collectors complaint about the pricing (even US collectors too). It's no wonder they're no selling well.

I saw the youtube review that Walmarts in the US started to reduce the prices for GI Joes. Even the Cobra's survelience base set cost 15 USD now, which is very cheap. I think they're trying to clear up all the overstock joes for their Christmas sales.

@Sadistic Reaper, the independant toy shops in Malaysia actually get their stock from Hasbro Malaysia, what happens it that Hasbro Malaysia occaisionally releases stuff earlier to them and then later releases the same stuff to TRU and dept stores
