sannielyk, how come both bench's cpu clock speed different? Q9550 @ 2.1GHz when you're running vantage and @3.0GHz when you're running 3dmark08?


i'm sure u know why. there's 1 thing called normal dealer and gold dealer and master dealer, and there's also 1 thing called 'order more better offer', moreover in IT market there's so many incentives and commissions and rebates and bla bla bla... and maybe there's not only 1 Sapphire dealer?

Thundermatch's price is ~259USD (Convert to ringgit using Google), they have a local branch in Melaka so I guess I'll get it from them after the reviews.

the curent sapphire promo is because amd is offering a rebate on amd/ati products at retailer level
so instead of earning from the product.. price vs cost.. all are aiming for the rebate..

but u need high volume..
thats y its cheap..

after that the price will go up as usual for initial launch products.

just got my sapphire 4870X2, that damn card is pretty hot. I think i will just forget about the 4890X2 as the performance boost is not going to be justified by the price increase. Maybe 4890 is just another overclock version of the 4870.

got test the average FPS with settings cranked 2 the max?

but the cpu score shown on vantage is still vry low,and urs is a quad.my e8400 oc'ed to 4.1 ghz as shown as my sig can archieve 30k+ on cpu score.maybe its suprising to me bcoz i'm still noob in this

btw 4890 is to compete with gtx260 216?my gpu score is bout 10k+ .anyway a vry nice gc u got thr,i always admire ati's gc design (the hsf) red hot,and ur rig set up,i hope i can do it as tidy as urs
