Might not really affect 5800 sales as iPhone is considered a "high-end" and exclusive offering. The 5800 is a mid-tier offering that is NOT tied up with any network or subscription contract. How many of us spend more than RM150/month on the phone? Granted there might be some but I suspect the majority spend in the range up to RM150 only. The iPhone only becomes attractive if you get it on contracts above RM150, even then compared to elsewhere it is a high premium to pay for a phone, even with the recently announced new OS. My 2 cents.

what makes u say that? 2 tube(no any plans tied) = 1 iphone ( plan tied)

What 5800 XM offer cheap price and alot powerful latest features.

Tube dun support video call , dun support MMS dun support bluetooth to transfer file when 5800 XM half price gives u all

er... i'm not talking about Maxis plan...

i did mentioned that Apple Malaysia officially launch Iphone in Malaysia... means we can go to any Apple Store in Malaysia n buy the Iphone without the contract with Maxis...

Even worse with plan cheaper without plan its same like u buying oversea set.

oh well... i'm waiting for the official price tag...

i just install the new version of garmin... it's really faster compared to the .30 version...

new features... dunno yet... haven't play wit it...

pls..u cant buy iphone off the shelf from Apple store, it MUST bundle with a telco plan lah. aiyo..

well... i just received email from Apple... that it's coming to the store... today... officially launching.. if u don't believe... u can always check out apple website.

It's not that we don't believe you but Apple's sales model for the iPhone is always tied to a specific telco, they do not sell the iPhone without the contract in most countries. Anyway, you're right, let's just see what the actual t&c (if any) are.
