You have to sign up with postpaid to get at RM1199... that RM200 is for postpaid credit
anyway the cheapest ori set I have seen is RM1270 at lowyat. But only for blue. Red they jack up the price |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 13 2009, 11:04 PM) if really that is true that seller is misleading his buyer. I thought really Rm1199 + RM200 maybe digi or hotlink prepaid credit then worthy it le if it is RM200 prepaid credit, I think the seller might as well just sell RM1000 ori set people will buy like crazy |

QUOTE(jason110 @ Mar 14 2009, 07:04 PM) went to Novacell shop at bukit tinggi jusco juz now. That car holder is not that good quality. And some Novacell is selling for RM23 also buy1 free 1. the golla pouch is damn expensive wei, lucky i bought it from lyn. and the car hanger is rm26, buy 1 get 1 free, is it ok? car charger is rm12.90, consider cheap ar? the original car charger from nokia is rm80. Btw about you guys saying the price expensive and all. Its very subjective. Let me tell you my experience. I went to a shop (which I have always frequent to buy my phones...) and I asked for the 5800XM and the dude quoted me quite high. Although he know that I most likely won't buy from him, he let me test the working demo unit and play with all the features.. after that I thank him and I left the shop he just smiled. Then I went to another shop and this other guy sells for RM1280 (blue) and RM1320 (red).. well I wanted the red and ask him to just reduce to RM1300 I will buy straight. He was so lansi that he say 'if you don't want to buy its okay with me'... wth End of the day I went back to the first guy. At first he quoted me RM1420. I asked him why so expensive? He told me his cost was high. I didn't really believe him and he actually showed me his cost price list So you might ask, why I bought it for RM30 more than other shop? Because there is a satisfaction to give the profit to a seller whom is humble and honest in doing business. I could have bought for cheaper but what for? Difference of RM30 or even RM50.. sometimes you eat McDonalds also RM30 gone. End of the day, what matters is YOUR own happiness. No point to kedekut every dollar but you have to handle shitty sellers... |

QUOTE(hvaly @ Mar 15 2009, 12:19 AM) after using the tube for 2 months now only i found out one thing, sad Thats not all... did u know what I discovered.the movie player can remember the clips/video timing that u last watched, you can resume anytime u like .. watching movie on tube is quite sweet .. If you watch this show for example Episode 1 and you watch half way, Then you off it cos maybe u need to go out... Then you forgot where you watch and you watch Episode 2 until finish Then you remember eh, you haven't watch Episode 1 finish. When you play back the file, it resumes where you left off... cool right? |

LOL This is something funny I really have to share. Have you guys heard of the s60 speed hack?
Anyway let me explain, its supposed to be a secret hack within your phone to speed up the menu as well as in phone functions. There are a lot of tutorials online about this but I've re-written it for the Nokia 5800 (tested on v20 firmware) 1) Change the current date in the phone to (01/05/2005) Settings > Phone > Date and time 2) Go to your calender and make these two to-do-notes: Calendar > Options > New entry > To-do-note Set the following two 'to-do-note' in the following order: (ignore alarm) 1.Task *Subject: Speed * Due Date: 04.08.2005 *Priority: High Press Done then repeat again 2.Task *Subject: Qoukie *Due Date: 04.08.2005 *Priority: Low 3) Confirm with OK both tasks. At this point in time, do not close the Calendar! 4) Change the view to "To-do" Options > Change view > To-do Set Speed first, Options > Mark as done Then select Qoukie Options > Mark as done 5) Now, you can close the calendar and the current date back correctly. From now navigation menu speed should significantly increase. Also, you should notice a performance boost in the Gallery. After a reboot or reset the phone, the effect is lost. After the switch, everything has to be repeated *This is for all s60 Devices. I know this tutorial sounds stupid. And a lot of people say its a hoax. But seriously I've tested it out and it really really works for me. My menu is faster and also my Gallery really caches the images faster and the frame rate of my Bounce game is faster.. why not you try and let me know if it works for you. |

QUOTE(Eiraku @ Mar 15 2009, 02:31 AM) I say this is either placebo or caching in effect... Some peeps did a benchmark before and after and there was no measurable change... It could be a placebo effect but throughout the entire process of doing it I was very skeptical and was expecting it to be a hoax. Haha turns out it feels faster for me. I don't really know. If you ask me, the instructions sound ridiculous and well the menu speed thing is subjective... but as for the Gallery I can tell 100% my images are caching much faster. Cos previously it was quite laggy |

Cause my wont come as thumbnail, all of them appear as 'broken film' icon. But still it plays without problem. Videos converted using others has proper thumbnails. i'll have to test it again maybe there is a setting I am missing out on |

Do any of you guys know how geo tagging works? Cos I know the feature is there but... how do we use it?Right now playing my phone through my 2-way stereo speakers. Quite good actually. |

QUOTE(aspire2oo6 @ Mar 15 2009, 12:25 PM) in camera turn on geo tagging when u wan take photo the gps will auto connect and save the location. Then u can use nokia OVI or something when u insert the photo it will geo tag it into a map. meaning it helps you map where you have taken the photo by using GPS? lol but why would that be useful? its not like we can't remember where we took those photos unless of course u are travelling overseas and u wanna document ur trip... but other than that i cant see the use of it |

Yeap if u remove battery and the day date doesnt stay its the internal battery problem. But then again, internal battery doesn't last forever.. after 1 year or few months using everyone will have this problem cos the internal battery has weaken. so the advice is, don't remove your battery unnecessarily

If you are familiar with PC... it is something like your CMOS battery.
A small battery built within the phone itself |
