I will.  Or mayb because I feel too much.  I really dun know.  I hate to see her going beserk when I get home....she's beside herself.  Will go into a frenzzy.  I'm not sure who'll break 1st; her or me if this goes on.

At first she'll gets very excited when I get home.  I'll ignore her for few minutes until she comes down.  Now she learns not to get too excited when I get home...but when I let her out...she'll go beserk...its quite upsetting seeing her like this.

I tried to give her some entertainment while I was away....I put a pcs of greenie in a yogurt container to challenge her and to give her some thing to do....and she tore the container to shreds!!!  Ok....not working.  Dun know if she swallow any pcs or not....damn!

after going through all ur post i would said u r responsible but just u r not exposed to dog previously may be ... that's why u facing all these troubles and u r not aware that u r not ready in fact. Just try ur best and find a good owner for kimmy ... but with the price u asked for i think very difficult ... i asked my gf yesterday and she also said cannot afford ... lol ... But even if we can afford, i think we got no time for 2nd baby yet ... although we would like to give our baby some accompany ... smile.gif

btw, my ah bit still jump around and she just look exactly like a baby that wanting for hug ... jumping with two leg up and i will hug her and rub her head a few times then i release her ... she will cool down right after that ... but she will want everyone to hug or touch her once at least when we come home ... so she will go 1 round when we come back ... for eg. me, my gf and her sister came home, she will go find 1 by 1 and ask us to touch her then only she can cool down one ... smile.gif ... that's why we love her so much lo ... smile.gif

QUOTE(kerrie @ Jun 16 2009, 09:24 PM)
Hopefully Kimmy's next owner wil take care of her til d end of her days.
But seriously, u reali dun wanna giv it another try ar?
I can see from ur post dat Kimmy loves u alot..

I think they two love each other a lot from what i read on her posts so far ... but sad to say that dancingsun is not ready now.

QUOTE(iluv2zzz @ Jun 16 2009, 11:08 PM)
I'm happy to see what the response so far for Kimmy's owner. Looks like we have considerate and good member here lately. I remember when the same old thing happened last time, there are flames and war everywhere saying bad owner and something similar.

I guess, every owner have their own issue, and giving them a second home may not be something very bad, look on the good side, it might be better for the owner and the dog, if the dog is rehomed to a good place, rather then staying with the first owner, not being appreciated.

So, if rehomed is the choice, please choose the next owner wisely. That is the best thing you can do for Kimmy.

All the best for both of you, and I'm so happy with the advices given here, no hard feeling smile.gif
*
yea ... i can felt that too ... we all love our furkids and other's furkids .... that's why we share our advice ... smile.gif

Hey Eric, sorry to hear about the news. Be strong and hope Stephy be strong too ... although we can't communicate to her directly but show her our love and she will recover soon.

hey ,anyone still rmb me?
anyway juz wanna ask is there any way to stop my dog barkin to strangers?
cuz everytime i bring her out eg.desa park city,NZX,friend's house, she bark when strangers approach her
and I hate that! las time an angmo kid want 2 pet her but ended up gt shocked .
she is way of aggressive, like rottwailer or GSD.
n what I curious is I start 2 bring her out since she was young(2-3 mths) but she still vry sked of strangers 1.how 2 solve dis?

My baby also bark a lot nowadays ... every time we open the gate she bark .. when my parents come to visit me ... she bark non stop ... i think because she was kept in the house too long and only managed to go out walk twice a day which i think not so enough ... we need to bring them out and meet with other dogs and people more often i guess?

Btw, came across this statement when i watched the American Greatest Dog show last season ... one of the judge said, to make ur dog stop barking first we need to train them bark ... not too sure how it works ... lol

These few days ... my baby keep on peeing in the house ... i am so upset about it because she already never did it long time ago and she normally do it only we bring her out for morning and evening walk ... but since sunday ... she did it twice a day right before we bring her out to pee ...

I suspect it caused by the medicine that the vet asked us to give her take ... she earlier had some ear infection (just minor problem) ... but we saw her like keep scratching her ears so we decided to bring her to vet and the vet give her some medicine ... after that ... she keep pee inside the house already ... is it because she had to drink more water after feeding her medicine? Last time whenever she ran out from her playpan i also dont mind at all because she never pee in the house. I do scold her a bit and hit her butt (not very hard la) ... but now she showing some fear sign towards me ... i feel bad ... but she still follow me wherever i go ... just i am curious is it because of the medicine that making her cannot hold the pee?

It looks like hitler hit on something when he ran too fast? or it was actually like skin infection? But it looks like the wound was caused by he had hit on something hard ... did you bring him to see the vet?

happy has been very very attached to me lately..he wil push daisy away which he neva do dat before. He wil scratch me juz to get my attention..

how can i let him noe dat im bz too and i can't entertain him all da time?
*
What i did to my baby is when i am doing something or even eating on the table ... i will rub her head few times then ignore her ... dont make any eye contact with her and she will sit down there quietly ... sometimes if i have already prepare her food then she will then walk to her place to eat lo ... and when i am playing my online games, she sometimes will also come to sit beside me and of course will scratch a bit to get my attention to rub her a few times ... then i rub her head a few times then she will sit beside the pc desk and rest there or sometimes even sleep there until she is dreaming i guess? because can see she moving her body a bit then sometimes can turn upside down and her leg kicking there ... lol ...

Just a question, will dog also have PMS? recently noticed that Ah Bit like to bark ... sigh ... she is not like that also last time ...

QUOTE(Dcom @ Jun 29 2009, 01:17 PM)
Yes, you are right about "No wonder we don't get to go to many places with our furkids..."

Even those who take their dogs out to poo, I think they should pick up their dogs' poops.  I know of a "taman" that quite a number of households have dogs and they take their dogs out to poo and they never pick up after their dogs. So there are "landmines" in the whole neighbourhood!! They are like, you poo at my place, I poo at your place.

This matter can never be resolved because it is not easy to educate people to be responsible pet owners and some of these people are highly educated people!
*
normally these type of owner they just let their furkid run out by their own and do their business outside their house ... i got these type of experience before where the dog just poo in front of me and in front of my house ... i did not chase away the dog because i knew it wasn't their fault but the owner's fault ... i just pick it up myself after the dog walk away ... so far there are 2 incident while the owner driving their car searching for their furkids because their furkids never come home after doing their business. I think these owner should be responsible for that.

HI dear all

Kimmy is now currently with my fren and I guess you guys are right, I do miss her.  This is the irony of "I can't live with or without you"?????

I'm still thinking hard if I should or how I can keep her....looking if there are any daycares centres...I don't think Kimmy will do very well on her own for 12 hours a day 5 days a week.  My fren says she cud keep Kimmy but she sure gives me a tongue lashing!!

Here are some of her pics...before and after grooming...I think she looks better before.. tongue.gif
*
QUOTE(thedancingsun @ Jul 2 2009, 03:14 PM)
Kimmy is Salt & Pepper but has a very unique colouring cos she's kinda blondish.  She got a lot of gold specks on her body but those are puppy hair.  Wonder wat type of salt & pepper she'll turn out?

I took her to House of Groomers at Plaza Damas and they charge me RM60.  After grooming, my 1st reaction was "Is that mine dog??" hahaha

She's a very funny looking MS without prominent eyebrows....so she look cuter with the puppy cut than Schanuzer cut.

I heard from my fren that they are having a tough time toilet training her, but now she seems to get the concept of going outside the house to do her biz.  I think as time pass, it will be very hard for me to take her back since I stay in a condo and it will be a new set of toilet traing.

Btw, how did you train Lex on potty training?  I suppose he does it in the tray or in the toilet?  I have enquired about personal trainer, one cost RM600 for 5 sessions with no guarantee on toilet training and the other charge RM1,500 for board and train!!!  And daycare cost like RM25 per day!!  This is more expensive than child care!!  tongue.gif

And Nicholai, do you let Lex roam freely in the house while you are out??? And what's the length of time you are out usually?

I wonder if Ginger's owner method of tying her to the door knob has any success.  Wish I have though of that when Kimmy was younger.  Now it is harder to do that!  She'll probably tear my doorknob free!!  tongue.gif  Kimmy is like Ginger, will play, run run run, squat and do her biz.  WHen she's younger, she poo is kinda very sticky!! And I have one occasion step on them!! ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
*
Hi dancingsun, thanks for the updates on kimmy ... she look so cute in all the photos but u r right, she look cuter before grooming ... smile.gif ...
just a question, did your friend leash her always? try not to do that ler ... pity her ... let her inside the playpan better?

Kimmy is free to roam around my fren's house.  She'll be leashed when she's taken out of the house as it is quite dangerous not to; with traffic, other stray dogs and etc.  The other day, one dog who is usually kept caged  by the neighbour, dun know how got loose, came out and bite my fren's dog.

That's the basket I use to smuggle her in and out of the condo.  tongue.gif She's very excited when we approach the basket, because she knows she gets to go out.
*
okok ... nice to hear ur friend dont leash her all day long ... i also have to leash my baby girl whenever i bring her out to walk duirng the morning and evening ... yes ... same reason ... worry about the car ... got 1 day i did not leash her during the evening time ... after work time ... a lot of traffics ... and nearly bang by a car ... scared me to death ... so now i leash her unless during weekends or very late night ... smile.gif ... i can see u started to miss kimmy now ... hehe

i tried keeping her in my room, but she keeps lickin my face when i'm trying to sleep, so i will loose alot of sleeping time. i don't cage her up, and she has more than sufficient space for her to run around all night. i'm staying in a bungalow and she has the whole second floor for herself. i tried wee wee pads, but she ends up tearing it up.
then i decided to use the balcony as her business spot, but when the ground is wet after rain, she will do her business just anywhere.

HOW??
*
just my point of view ... sometimes giving them too much space at night alone is not a wise decision ... they felt unsecure and surely will bark nonstop ... they are basically calling for help. I experienced it last time ... when she was in her playpan ... she will not bark ... hope this helps ... smile.gif

Potty training i donno ... when i adopted my rabbit ... she some how already potty trainned or she already adult ... so i just bring her out twice a day to do her business ... of course at first she does accident in the house ... we just have to scold her or beat her gently on her butt and say no in a stern manner ... she gets it ... now no more problem in housebreaking.

he is my first ms and has been a joy to us. not yet toilet trained but he poopoo in the garden lawn, free "baja" for the plants!!!

i am not sure if there have been any postings on pets/dogs-friendly eateries in KL/Pg/Ipoh/JB etc. can we start some postings on this and get some info for the benefit those who want to take our furkids out without getting nasty stare.
