well, i guess this is very normal, every tarantula user will face fading problem... just in matter of time, some ppl use few months, some ppl take about a year..
*
I am currently using logitech normal keyboard for 3+ years, no sign of fading at all ler. Use almost every night for gaming. This only cost me RM60 3 years back.
Now a 3++ keyboard fade by a year? Or you all really hardcore user? tongue.gif

Last fews questions to clarify with you all before i settle down with Lycosa mirror.
1) Is every key also backlited? or just 'wasd'?
2) Can set macro on it? Coz i don't see any 'G key' kind of keys
3) What is this '10 customizable software profiles with on-the-fly switching '
4) Anyone know what if the market price now? How much it sell during last PC fair?

1) the whole keyboard is backlited...however u can adjust the backlight brightness and oso turn it on or off...or simply on the wasd keys light only...

2) there are no G keys on lycosa mirror however every single keys on the keyboard can be set as a macro keys...u might use the F1 to F12 keys as ur G keys and set the macro to those keys...

3) there are 10 profiles for u to set ur preferences...on-the-fly switching means that u can switch ur profile anytime whether u are in game or not...

4) the market price now i dunno u gotta check with the sellers...
*
Thanks for the reply.
1) Understand and it sounds cool.
2) Is that mean i can set macro on 'A' key? but i will lose the key function as 'a'.
3) What is the 'profile'? Is that mean Profile 1: 'A' is a macro key, while switch to profile 2: 'A' become 'a' while others key become macro' (According to my setting)

Dont mean to burst your bubble, but you read about the issues regarding the Lycosa yet? Not sure whether it applies to the Mirror or not, but my bet is that it does.
*
What is the problem with Lycosa?
Please do tell.

The touchpad was the feature that was tempting me to get one, but then issues that occur with it just put me off. Touch pad not working, instabilities, the list goes on. akachester encountered problems with his Lycosa before (i think). PM him to shed some light on the matter.
*
Thanks for sharing. it seems all you tell is quite true.

i think lycosa mirror should be more stable than the old lycosa...btw among all the stocks they have im sure there are those which are defected ones...im sure that there are alot people that dont have problem with their lycosa as well...

to those who have problem with it, ban leong offer a very good warranty service...fear not if u are unlucky to get a bad product...
*
It is not good to have too many defect unit. Keep changing even for free is very hectic.

By the way, any Lycosa Mirror User in lowyat forum?
Yours reviews are very much appreciated.

Yeah, maybe i should test the KB 'kau kau' at the booth before i pay money for it huh.

I've PM akachester, he replied very fast. thumbup.gif And he got a problem free Lycosa after replacing under warranty. (As he mentioned here as well)

Just to share with others who might interested
Razer admit their problem and ready for replacement

Manage to get my Lycosa Mirror during the 2nd day of PC fair.
Only get lanyard as free gift and a RM 9 discount.
How come they didn't give me the free T-shirt? vmad.gif

The defect (i believe so) of my KB is some of the letter is not fully visible from certain angle. Use numkey '8' as an example, the top '0' is darker compare to the bottom '0', as i see it from the angle where i sit it seems like the '8' is incomplete. But if i stand up and look at the '8' it become full again.

Is this a norm? Or i should go back to Ban Leong? icon_question.gif icon_question.gif icon_question.gif

luckily didt go pc fair
btw the light is normal...u try search at youtube
can see that the light is darker at different angle.
but still can see la...mirror lighting should be more bright
than normal lycosa.and depend whcih batch u get..
*
Yeah, mirror is brighter than the normal, they showed me during the PC fair.

Seems like i have to accept this as a flaw of Lycosa Mirror. But anyhow, it is still a cool keyboard to own. thumbup.gif

*
Yes, lowyet also give warranty via Ban Leong. But need to go through 1 more shop, that will slightly take longer time.

Anybody can tell,
If we bring Mamba to cc, we could straight away using it with it's functions (Eg. the key assign in its additional button) without the need to installing the driver or software in the cc's PC.
Is this true?

Should be able to innit? I mean other brands of wireless mouses can have plug and play, why can't Razer?
*
QUOTE(doom89757 @ Apr 17 2009, 05:02 PM)
the Mamba have the Razer Synapse function mah, so it have on board memory to keep ur profiles juz like in the Copperhead & Lachesis
The full specs u can see it @ razer website they got lists it
*
I understand all these mice can plug and play. But what about the software to assign function for the additional button?
For example, if i have assign 'Button 4' in the mouse as 'Num1' in my own PC, later when i bring it to cc, i plug and play the mouse. Is the 'Button 4' still act as 'Num1'?
And can i change it to 'Num2' in the cc. (All this can be done without the razer software/driver?)
