but i also heard razer mako is worth its price..

if that the case, i have to wait my altec lansing spoil until i get mako.. lol

last pc fair check is mako = RM 1290( if i remembered)

for me, i would get Z5500 anytime as mako is just a 2.1 setup.

a 2.1 setup will always be a 2.1 setup. can't be compared to 5.1.

what u pay is what u get. i would rather get a bookshelf speaker or other 2.1 system which i think would perform much better than mako. anyway all are just my personal opinion, no offence to razer fans.

the bag is not rare...just that it is freaking expensive for a sling bag like that...come to think of it, u can even fit a keyboard inside...maybe can use to go college only lor...

Err... u do know whats 2.1 and 5.1 speakers means rite?.. yes, ur right abt its "don't always translate to better sound quality or performance", but ur missing the point having a surroundsound speakers.

5.1 speakers its meant for surroundsound wherelse as it has 2 rear-speakers, so far i haven't heard any 2.1 speakers trumps the positional sound compared to 5.1 speakers.

And it does matters whether its 2.1 or 5.1, imo ur regret if u get Mako if u already have proper setup for 5.1 speakers.

Imo, if u don't have space for rear-speakers setup for 5.1 speakers, then only its good option to get Mako.

i wouldnt really put a laptop into the bag unless its just for quick transfers etc cos it has no protection at all from anything...rain...knocks etc.

to be honest, surround sound in fps? good stereo with good soundcard is enough.
needless to say, most games also with good stereo headphones can get very good positional sound.
pros have been surviving with that setup for how many yrs now?

imo surround is only nice if u watch movies, but u need space to set up the speakers...u cant just sit 2ft in front of ur pc and enjoy 5.1 properly...need some distance away...
better if u want surround, go get a nice audiofile set...hook it up to ur tv and dvd...then only can enjoy properly.

and remember, mako is not traditional 2.1.
u can move around anywhere and u get the exact same sound quality, unlike traditional 2.1 or 5.1 where u must sit ur ass in basically one spot to enjoy fully.

Heh.. i know u will say that, as u didnt noticed how many pros in this Razer thread?.. only u i guess.

Tbh, u can't really compared 2.1 vs 5.1, even tho Mako its "hi-tech" 2.1 speakers, unless u have both speakers systems which its a THX 5.1 speakers and a Mako, and as i stated earlier so far i haven't seen a review saying its better than 5.1 setup.

And definitely don't compared with headphones, thats different department.

and 5.1, i didnt say its not good.
i just said ppl with 5.1 using PCs are not fully optimizing it since they just sit 2ft in front.

u need distance between rear and front speakers for good sound balancing.
u need distance for the sub-woofer to project.
heck, u even need nice distance even between each front or back speakers to balance.

thats why its better suited for TV/entertainment systems, not sitting 2ft in front of a PC.

but then yea its not the same sling bag as the messenger sling bag on razerstore cos of that extra pouch.

im pretty sure the ones in garage sales here are not the messenger bags like on razerstore, but the ones that were available here without that extra pouch, ie. RM135 then
