and who told u the battery is irreplacable?
*
Just wondering, if the battery its replaceable, can u actually buy it?... just the battery (incase kong liaoz.. after warranty)..

Like Logitech G7, so far i haven't heard u can just buy battery (locally)... so if u can't get it separately... its "basically" irreplaceable... well.. in a way... tongue.gif

the G7 battery im sure u already know logitech sells it on their site.
cant get it locally doesnt mean its not irreplaceable.

likewise, no one said the razer mamba battery will be irreplacable.
*
Thats why i specifically mentioned locally mah.. and i oso said "basically" irreplaceable.. mah.. i didn't said like "for sure can't replace lah"!.. tongue.gif

For G7 even tho its listed on their site, its not local site either, and afaik (according to logitech forums) they don't sell to other countries.

Not to mention that as Razerzone online store doesn't ship to Malaysia liaoz.. sweat.gif

QUOTE(i_love_japan @ Apr 16 2009, 05:21 PM)
of coz it's replaceable, else ppl would need to buy a new mamba everytime their mouse rosak?
*
If u can get its batt also most probably only in sells in Razerzone.. and as we already know they not shipping to Malaysia.

Anyways, abt Mamba, if batt rosak case, at least u can still use it "corded" way.. tongue.gif

razerzone like i posted are working on it.
u cant blame razerzone anyway, have to blame all the cibaikias who steal ppl's credit card info.

and g7 batt not available here? have to blame the logitech distributors here right if they dont want to bring it.
*
Sad case isn't it.. sad.gif ...and unfortunately ur right abt the @#$@# creditcard fraud =/

Abt the batt thats when Sidewinder X8 comes in as it uses nimh batts which its easy to get it, and i heard abt the same batt life as those mice using lithium-ion batts, which its very cool.

Unfortunately, i don't really like its shape of Sidewinder X8 (it looks hi-techy.. but doesn't look ergonomic..lol).. not to mention most reviews stated that too... "uncomfortable" mouse (since its the same shape since the first Sidewinder mouse).. lol... the only good aesthetic look of its side-buttons, instead of typical "back, front", theirs its "up, down"...

I gotta say.. the "wired/wireless" hybrid mice competition will be very tight (Mamba vs SidewinderX8).

Cheers tongue.gif

I just switched my DeathAdder to my DiamondBack..

Dam.. my wrist quite pain.. most probably trying to get use to the ambidextrous shape again.. lol... but as i like abt 'claw-grip' mice its much cooler (less hot/sweat) due u don't place yer hand on the mouse as opposed to 'palm-grip' mouse like DeathAdder.

And i gotta say.. i miss the high-sensitivity of DeathAdder, as i used max settings dpi and pretty high sensitivity lvl (i max sensitivity on my DiamondBack, yet i feel slow.. lol).

I think im switching back to BoomSlang.. as i miss the high sensitivity of it.

guys.. my exactmat feet have peeled off..now left 1 rubber feet out of the original 8 and this one also like wanna go dy...

any suggestions what i can use to replace?
*
Well, theres 2 ways/methods i did my my Everglide mousepad which one of the non-slip feet came out.

Option-1 (cheapest) :-
-------------------------

Get one of those non-slip mat, u know ppl get it for their car's dashboard?.. so that u can put yer stuffs like mobilephone and it won't drop due its non-slip mat. So, just place it under your mousepad, well it works for me.. lol

Option-2 :-
-------------

Get those non-slip feets (in packets has like 6 or more feets) normally used for tables and chair's feets, so that it won't slip away. This way, u had to replace all yer dafault feets if the non-slip feets u gotten its different in terms of thickness.

QUOTE(don^don @ May 6 2009, 12:52 AM)
dear razer kakis, i've got a fren who has a white da, and is facing the double click issue. and it should be brought in by NC Computers, which should be from ban leong.

so is there anyone that manage to rma it with no problems? and if yes, did u bring it to your reseller or direct to ban leong?
*
The last i heard that, it seems BanLeong rma procedure has changed, as previously u can send to BanLeong directly.

But now, according to some Razerians recent rma'ed his "rodent", said BanLeong does not accept directly liaoz, meaning u had to claim warranty thru the shop that u gotten the mouse from.. as someone here tried sending in directly to BanLeong, but BanLeong will not entertain u with yer rma.

@Everdying dude, since u got connection in BanLeong, is it going to be this way liaoz?.. no more direct warranty claim if u bought it from other place/shop.

Razer Mamba abt rm500... siaonezz.. imo ur paying extra rm150+ for the "display box".. literately... lol

Tbh, do u think u really use the "charging-dock"?.. i gotta say.. Razer its getting out of hand in terms of practicality (yes i looking at u BoomSlang.. rolleyes.gif ).. tongue.gif

Imo, over rm400 still overpriced, altho kinda expected due the unnecessary items comes with it.. like "jewelry box" packaging and its charge-dock.

Tbh, who actually uses the charge-dock?.. as u can't use the mouse while its on the charge-dock, especially as it can be charge using the mini-usb plug, so that u can game while charging it.

QUOTE(enriquelee @ May 19 2009, 10:22 PM)
Let me do a brief review on my new toy, Razer Mamba.

When I receive the mouse in the box I was like ‘Wow…..what a stylish display box!’ and it gives me a feeling like the mouse is been displayed like a fine piece of art work by Michaelangelo’  tongue.gif
The box is like a jewelry box with trays at the bottom.
You can find charging dock, usb cable and battery with its cover respectively in each tray.
1 bad point here is, the acrylic cover is quite difficult to take out. At least, I need a help from my friend to get it open. Secondly, to detach the mouse from the plastic holder also take me sometime. Maybe I was too cautious to take it out.
The "drawers" looks like made from paper... is it?.. unsure.gif

QUOTE
Next is the ‘holding feel’ of the mouse. Actually, it is quite similar to the less expansive Death Adder. But it has a much more better build. It has an all-black exterior with a top surface coated with rubber. The whole top is coated with rubber, not like the other Razer mouse which only the buttons are rubberized. In fact, this make me a bit worry, coz as you all know, Razer is famous for rubber peeling off. Lets cross our fingers it doesn’t happen huh.

If not mistaken, nearly all Razer mice nowadays are fully rubberized (DeathAdder, Lachesis, Salmosa etc.), not just Mamba.

QUOTE
Another down side of Mamba is, I find the way they design the mini USB jack make it not flexible, coz it is so unique that other USB cable can’t fit in the mouse.

I saw some videos testing on the Mamba, it seems the mini-usb plug its pretty finicky to plug into the mice.

And hows abt its battery life?.. as most reviews saying it has short battery life, and i heard the new firmware might fix it.

Cheers smile.gif

the charging dock also doubles as a transmitter, else how to be wireless? tongue.gif
also the dock charges the mouse much faster than usb does.

yea, the 'drawers' are made of cardboard like material.
*
Yeah. i know the dock its a transmitter, but if they make it just as a transmitter (w/o charge-dock, drawers, jewelry box etc) which will make its size much more smaller like 50%-70% smaller than current ones, which im sure it will cost much less wink.gif

Thats another thing that cost more by having 2 types of charger.

By looking at the charge-dock, it looks like it charges directly to the mouse's battery rite?, instead going thru the mini-usb.

HEh.. 'drawers' made from cardboard, imo thats the only thing that Razer made Mamba cost effective tongue.gif

Cheers smile.gif

As Everdying mentioned earlier on.. the charge-dock its like a 'fast-charger', it charges much faster than wired mode which its a mini-sub plug.

but the weight without battery is the same as krait, ie. damn light.

i like the mamba shape more than DA, so im still hoping a optical wired mamba-like mouse will come out soon.

I see, i gotta say so far i haven't see online reviews abt its charge-dock that charges faster or abt can it be use without battery when on wired-mode.

Optical?.. i thought its "Infrared" sensor, the last optical sensor by Razer its Razer Viper rite?.. correct me if im wrong.. blush.gif

Yea, U.S. alot cheaper, but as one of the peripheral that we uses the most (especially hardcore gamers), better get a local warranty not to mention faster too if rma.

HEh... yea, i heard its pretty hard to take out from the packaging as mentioned by Zackler.

Do lets us know how long its the charging time and how long can it last after a full-charge.
