This is not good. How we know if the transaction will be successfully rewarded?
*
Do personal manual track and trace. I have my own personal excel worksh!t on income and expenses (including CC).

Currently I am tracking Citibank 2x points for paying online assessment bill. After the transaction, only 1x points are given. Waiting for the promo to over before the bonus 1x points are credited. rclxub.gif

Yesterday, I received a call from Citibank promoting their shell credit card. I am not sure how they manage to get my HP as I never have any accounts with them. Seem they really aggressive to find new customers.
*
I don't think the tele-marketers are direct from Citibank. Most likely outsourced to other company, and they get your h/p from other sources.

I am 25 this year and i am currently principal cardholder for a card from affin bank. so this is the cause of reject? because i already principal holder from another bank?
*
No one will know the actual reason, except the related bank and staff dept. However, we can speculate here tongue.gif

My speculation is most likely due to your sister card spending and payment. Most likely not a good CC user rated by the bank.

Ya, it is hard to apply for HSBC credit card, even i'm their savings account holder, also get rejected recently. Maybe will apply again after 6 month smile.gif
*
Previously when I apply HSBC CC:
1) I have a PV a/c in HSBC
2) My co bank in my monthly salary
3) Clear credit risk, etc.

Rejected doh.gif

Same condition, 6-months later, they call and offer me same card. Approved. rclxub.gif

if according to latest info from Maybank website, the answer is NO

you'll need RM30k even for their classic card sweat.gif

But of course, other banks such as alliance, public bank...., RM18k is enough to qualify for classic card
*
shocking.gif Now that you mention it, I check MBB CC website and is true. Revised from RM18k p.a. to 30k blink.gif

I guess it is good to filter out unnecessary risk for the bank.

bagok,

Personally, I think you got the wrong concept of using CC. Please do not get into the CC trap by getting cash advance or using it as loan.

bagok,

Personally, I would advise to cancel the car downpayment. After all, you have not pay for the downpayment. Choose other mode of transport: public, kapchai, smaller/cheaper car, etc.

bagok,

We understand your situation. The point we advise is, do not use debt (cash advance, loan, installment, etc.) for the downpayment. Since 4k is not available for now, why not continue use kapchai for a few more months to save back 4k ? hmm.gif

This is the latest ATM policy I'm talking:

New! Maybankard Bankcard service charge

Effective Mar 26, 2009, Maybankard Bankard cardholders (ATM Card) will have the option to choose between unlimited free ATM cash withdrawals for only RM8 annually (per card) or maintaining the existing 4 free ATM withdrawals per month; with RM0.50 being charged for each subsequent cash withdrawals during the month.

All you need to do is to fill up the Maybank Card ATM Form (ATM56) at your nearest Maybank branch and your ATM card service charge will be updated accordingly.

URL: http://www.maybank2u.com.my/mbb_info/m2u/p...d=/mbb/Personal
*
Side track: Couple of weeks ago, I went to KLCC Maybank (newly opened near KFC) and inquire about this and Form ATM56. They search high and low, call here and there, after 30 min, cannot find the form, ask me to go back to MBB KL Main doh.gif <vomit blood>

What Citibank services are you guys using that made them send CCs to ya?
*
All I can say is, the world-of-CC is very funny.

First time, I applied Citibank, they reject. So I apply & use MBB CC.
Few years later, I apply Citibank and approved (as backup card)
Then cancel.
Then apply again.
Then Citibank start sending pre-approved cards to me rclxub.gif
But I always decline it when they call me up to activate it sweat.gif

So now, I keep the unused card nicely, in mint condition. Later will frame all of it up or use it as to design something nice. whistling.gif e.g. complement the coffee table with a tempered-glass top.

mad.gif Warning to those Maybank users here who frequents the call centre. In fact, today made a call to them and there is one agent who is VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and RUDE. He did not answer my questions well enough and deliberately CUT MY LINE. I furiously called in again just to jot down his name from other agent. Luckily, they have a record of thse who answered the call.

HAH CHIN HOO - Maybank Credit Card Centre

Superior = Puan Faridah

I will definately lodge a formal complaint to the higher authority and relevant parties on this and get it to the end. As a loyal Maybank customer, i do not encounter this unpleasant experience before. Therefore, i had compose an e-mail to be sent out followed by a call straight to the manager. vmad.gif

laugh.gif I have vomit more blood dealing with MBB. But not much choice since I like MBB ATM convenience and their CC card offerings. So, once I've dealt with all humans, I'm dealing with machines and online now. Then I take precautions myself, so that I don't get card loss or fraud. Hence, prevent myself from dealing with humans there. laugh.gif

Added on May 6, 2009, 6:34 pmThat day I passed by 1U. If I remember correct:

Petronas RM100 voucher = 16500 TP
Jusco RM100 voucher = 17000 TP

Or is it the other way around ? rclxub.gif Forgot doh.gif

As usual, I look like I'm invisible to the CS there. yawn.gif

@cute_boboi,
TP for Jusco vouchers have increased significantly to about 21000 points.  However, if U walk in and make your redemption at 1U, you can still get the RM100 vouchers at 16700 points [or something like that].

That's what the CS told me when I last checked - however, after checking she tells me I fall under the MR category and not the TP category.
*
rclxub.gif TP also got inflation nowadays sweat.gif 21000 TP

Like stock market now, gone haywire these few days. I'm thinking want to cash out all the points as Jusco voucher and use as groceries. But now Jusco got 8x with Amex rclxub.gif

Erm, technically the cheque got in late, so system just computes interest, pretty normal right? Probably u could pay earlier or just go deposit it into the machine instead?

Well yea, they don't have evergreen points like HSBC or Citibank. You probably should have kept track and redeemed before you went.
And although it's rather annoying that they charge courier fee for the vouchers, but it is stated in the member's privileges booklet.
*
Citibank, I throw the cheque into box (before noon), they will count as the date I throw in (Transacted). Not the day the cheque is cleared. I tried once on the last day of payment (nearly forgot) sweat.gif

The cheque is cleared 2-3 days later (Posted)

Not all banks credit your CC account immediately even if you deposit cash via CDM/counter. The only bank I know which does immediately is MBB. Those that don't is CIMB, UOB, HSBC, Ambank. But to my personal experience with UOB and CIMB, if you deposit cash on the last day, late payment fees will not be charged. Admittedly, I've not tried paying so late before.
*
I use M2u online, MBB savings a/c pay MBB CC, <30 min later, I have enough balance to swipe a large amount. I would say M2u is quite immediate.

I'm quite satisfied with MBB, except dealing with humans, whether CC CS, CS, counter, etc. doh.gif

My opinion is to cancel the card. Why make yourself go so low to ask/beg for AF waiver ? Go and apply those free-for-life CC.

After swipe MBB Petronas Visa, now it prompts out please swipe Mesra card. I don't have Mesra card. So, what does it mean ?
i) Get 5x TP and Mesra points ? drool.gif
ii) Get lesser TP and Mesra points ? doh.gif
iii) No TP ? doh.gif
iv) Petronas will have system to distribute points ? hmm.gif

I know TP and Mesra points are different.

TreatPoints is given by Maybank to ensure people use their Maybank CC

No conflict, right ?

That means earn two types of points ? Similiar like now, swipe Amex at Esso/Mobil, you get 8x TP and Smiles points ? hmm.gif

can you tell whether a card is a principal or supplementary by the 16 digits? how does it work then if i were to apply for a card and i send them a supplementary photocopy..would that work as well?
*
Easy. For each CC application, I'm 100% sure the bank will check with BNM CCRIS. Your supp CC will not be in your CCRIS list laugh.gif

Hi all, need opinions here. Between DA and MBB Petronas, which card is more suitable as primary card and why?

Thanks.
*
I would say a Failed Question. doh.gif Let me ask you back, Is Accord or a Camry more suitable as my primary car. i.e. daily use to commute from home-work-home in Klang Valley ?

Answers I'm expecting from my unclear question:
1) BMW/Merc/Nissan/etc. is a better car (HSBC/Citibank/etc - better CC)
2) Buy both (apply both cards)

My home can be in squatter area and my work area is a construction site, which a 4WD is more suitable. I did not provide enough info on my question !!! Same with you CC questions !!! What do you expect to get in return from your CC ? Tell us your usage patterns, the places you frequent, the petrol brands you use, etc.

E.g. MBB Petronas CC, then are you going to tell us, "Actually hor, I pump Shell + Bonuslink" doh.gif
