Thanks a lot... hehe... will try 185kg tonite... if my back has recovered and doesnt give me problem during warm up.
hmmm... errr.. roughly.
bench press - 90kg 1rm
smith shoulder press- 70kg 10 reps
deadlift 175kg 1rm
squat 100kg 6-8 reps
havent tried 1rm on squat for 2 month plus coz no spotters.

i believe its a beginners advantage... after this, its gonna be stale mate... and i am going to be cracking my bones and every part in me to break through the plateau
NEVER... muahahaha...
if i cannot deadlift 300kg, dont even dream bout it. =.=
kakakak.... my goal is actually 300kg in 2 years time. =.=

trying my best to reduce the gap but i dont go far much on bench press coz i either hate it or suck at it.
squat, i am not doing much. one session per week thats all.
i guess i got to double up my squat and give more effort in it.
been slacking on squat. didnt go heavy coz no spotters.
maybe i will start doing this week again. will try to see where is my new 1RM.
*
Do you actually need a spotter for squats?

I've seen them cry when they win, haha

but yeah, mostly bbers get emo due to low carb diet, something i can relate to myself.

pressure is another factor, not steroids. steroids give u roid rage biggrin.gif
*
Roid Rage is very controversial. If you are hot tempered as a person...what makes you think that steroids are the cause of it?

HOWEVER....

QUOTE
Recent studies indicate that anabolic steroids, particularly in high doses, increase irritability and aggression. Some steroid abusers report that they have committed aggressive acts, such as physical fighting, committing armed robbery,or using force to obtain something. Some abusers also report that they have committed property crimes, such as stealing from a store, damaging or destroying others’ property, or breaking into a house or a building. Abusers who have committed aggressive acts or property crimes generally report that they engage in these behaviors more often when they take steroids than when they are drug-free. Some researchers have suggested that steroid abusers may commit aggressive acts and property crimes not because of steroids’ direct effects on the brain but because the abusers have been affected by extensive media attention to the link between steroid sand aggression. ( Source : NIDA Drug Research Report ) I have the hardcopy journal, therefore I can't link you . Sry tongue.gif
But I personally believe that steroid consumption is a commitment and to think that you are going to be affected by the emotional imbalance, androgenic effects of this particular substance, then I don't think you have the certain degree of readiness just yet. If any users in LYN would come up and explain on your particular cycle, PCT etc, that would be great.

Lets all look at it as a form of education rather than preparing to pin point the steroid users and start throwing ridiculous statements like " Mr Ahbeng takes steroid thats why he deadlifts 855 pounds " . Lets get real, to be able to pull 855 pounds without juice is miracle even Jesus would think twice about.

After all we are grown ups aren't we.

roid rage? if the person have roid rage, usually they have mental issues even before using.
how often we see bodybuilders whack people or cursing compared to ah bengs or mat rempits?

the effects of steroid some are reversible, some are not.

Exactly my point. If there is even any form of rage occurring, that particular person already have issues to begin with. How many deaths occur due to ROID RAGE compared to ALCOHOL. I'd give a 1:150 ratio tongue.gif

This is in complete contradiction to all the shit-talking you do on here about all the people you see at the gym and how much you hate them for not looking like the cover of a Men's Health magazine.

The funny thing is, I can't recall you ever putting up photos of YOURSELF for others to judge, much in the same way you feel quite happy throwing shade at random people you see in the gym.
*
Arabian guys tend to be his favorite examples in terms of physique and strength. Don't forget that.

To judge or classify people is up to you. However, to a certain extend , take a good look at yourself before start throwing funky comments on fat people who bench 150 or whatsoever.

Btw, do post a video of your 110 squat. It sounds very inspirational.

I don't know why you guys are so critical of Zeist. Well OK, he does not show too much tact, but his views are not particularly exotic. I think many of you with high bodyfat percentages are somewhat insecure about this fact.
*
LoL, I'm not representing anyone here... As you can see in the progress thread, Im no where near huge smile.gif but I think everytime zeist posts a reply, he is indirectly calling for a huge wave aimed directly at himself. Let the flame war begin? Nah..i dont think so... cool2.gif

Here it goes again. I don't have to prove myself to anyone, like I said before I don't give shit whatever you wanna say, that's my style. If you know me well in person....

That because you've not seen the real thing. Whatever it is, if you are in the gym, do not underestimate the person beside you.
*
Yes I actually kinda know you...you graduated in SEGi. Bachelors in Graphic Design or something like that? I've seen you enter classes on the 7th floor. I'd give you alot of credit, you've lost alot of weight since the last time i saw you...was it 2007 or 2006 .. I cant recall.

No one is underestimating you, take it easy zeist...

You will never know me.

The funny shit is that, whenever I post something and I did not even mention any of the nicks here, all start the flame throwing against me. That's great, continue doing that. I don't feel anything.

I have my own perception, so STFU. I can have my own say. You can't accept it, then GTFO. No one is forcing you to read or accept what I've posted.
*
LoL, okay...I so happen to know who you are thats all....Hey, Im being liberal here...you say whatever you want, if it doesnt make any sense someone will come up and say something about it....which part of it isn't fair?

on the other hand...sometimes flaming on HnF is like playing GTA4..Its sooo addictive.. tongue.gif

Russell Peters FTW!  icon_rolleyes.gif

Harold and Kumar never get old. =x

On a side note, was experimenting in the kitchen earlier. =x Came up with this concoction for a simple snack. 3 scrambled eggs, a tin of tuna mixed together and cooked till the eggs are okay. Then I drizzled olive oil on it and mixed it up to get an even coating. Added in some HP sauce in the end cause it tasted a bit bland. Seriously not bad. thumbup.gif
*
Try this, put 3 eggs, can of tuna, tomatoes, mushrooms, some mixed herbs, dash of salt and pepper. put a thin layer of mozarella cheese, bake it in the oven...Give it a shot buddy

We got a superstar in town don't we smile.gif.]

With regards to your leg press, the spine issue has always been quite a problem for many of us. I tried adjusting the seat , it actually helped a little. It also depends if you want to incorporate leg presses in your training. I actually do some presses on my squats day about 3 sets of 10-15 just to hype the quads a little after squatting and SLDL'ing. This is definitely a bbing movement but adding a little leg mass thus improving quad strength via leg presses wouldn't hurt smile.gif. (PS : I know you don't have that machine in Malacca biggrin.gif)

QUOTE(iamyuanwu @ Aug 6 2009, 03:01 AM)
Oh. OK.

I was actually thinking about this:
Is it supposed that the rear leg hangs on the bench and not do anything but balance the body a bit?

If a person keeps a straigh body, then the rear leg will be handling a lot of the burden (of the weight).
--> Which makes it not exactly single leg anymore, ain't it?
Even with dumbbells, I couldn't manage to keep vertical (if I want to emphasize on the front leg).
*
Actually the BSS is a quad killer specifically the quad tear ( is that what you guys call it? ) or the medialis. To position your leg on the bench is not a big issue, i'd place the foot only right up to the ankle. Notice the amount of stability you'd be able to get rather than resting your shin on the bench?

Don't complicate things. icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif icon_idea.gif
