new MX518 = 1800 dpi

old MX518 = 1600 dpi

dont worry...old or new the MX518 is still a damn good mouse.

n i dont think u can find the old version anymore unless its old stock

IMO, u should still continue using it because it is a good mouse. Why change if it is still in its prime? Logitech mouse are known for durability as well =) I used the first logi for 6 yrs before changing to G5 two yrs ago

of coz G5 because it is a laser mouse, u can adjust the weight capacity and it is convenient to use, comfortable for a big hand like mine.. when it was just released its 250 ringgit i think. now should be available for rm 170 price range~

Mx518 is gd enough..u can ask khole about it in SA, hes using one..
Laser might be oversensitive for some ppl..unless u are high sensitivity user..
