but i dont think u will need to uninstall directx9 bcoz
you will need it later..

emm.. n one more thing directx actually backward compatible..
so my opinion no point to uninstall the previous directx..

What game do u prefer? RTS, FPS or any, plz be specific..

well ....wat resolution u playing with? now days.. a 86GT can play most of the games in medium setting with 1024X768

If you got E8400 run at 3ghz or AMD Phenom II Processo Running Crysis with 8600GT at 1280 x 1024 Resolution with Medium setting 100% no problem at all. got AVG 23- 26 FPS around

Tmrw morning im going to have a walk in the park.

grid, left 4 dead and burnout should be able to play medium-high at your reso. play with the graphic settings to see which is best suited for yourself.

as for pes2009 i think can play high straightaway. not very high requirement

i use to have 8600gt too, can play medium-high or high for most games at 1280x1024.

I think the Crysis series have some sort of problem with widescreens, the cursor not very precise or accurate. Not sure how serious your problem is though, but I usually need to go until almost the edge to select the buttons.

mine is like no where near the box where i want to click
