This is the single PCB version of GeForce GTX295 and the previous version was adopted dual-PCB design...

7950x2 was very much hotter. 9800gx2 was an improvement in terms of pcb design. Read it from reviews last time.

The change of PCB makes the card require more in cooling performance. Single-PCB GTX295 features reference cooler which is 22.61mm thick. The two large heatsinks can effectively cool down the GT200 chips as well as PCB board, and the 88.5mm-diameter turbo fan is capable of delivering heat outside. You know, the previous GTX295 can’t vent the heat out of chassis, which is a big problem.

No word on price or availability of single-PCB GTX295 yet.

Well if the price is same but better performance, there goes all of us who already bought the sandwitch version of GTX295...

Also by releasing this card, I think we might only see GT300 series around 4th quarter of this year.

p/s: I dunno why I suddenly think of proton saga (the new version) when seeing this news again...
