current gen consoles is not powerful enough to output 1080p60 except for more simplistic games such as Wipeout HD. even in PC, you'll need quite a high end hardware to get 1080p60.

My point is the feature is already there, plus u don't exactly need a super high-end hardware nowadays as mid-range pc are able to run most games at high-res since pc parts are cheaper how. tongue.gif

of coz you can run 1080p60 on mid range pc, when you lower the graphic setting. thats what exactly games developer were doing for ps3 and 360. they have to take out other things in order to get 1080p60.

and i also just read this article:
Wipeout HD 1080p

it seems Wipeout is 60fps, but not always 1080p. resolution will alters when needed.

uh.... no. A decent mid-range pc can easily run games such as COD4 on full gfx setting and still achieve 60fps no probs. Don't u get my point earlier? From image quality, to 1080p @ 30fps to lower gfx detail at 1080p, when the earlier argument was that u claim that component cables are not offering inferior image quality compared to HDMI simply bcoz they can support 1080p too. Do you even know what you're talking about to begin with? rclxub.gif

whops, missed this thread.

well i thinks component does not offer inferior picture quality, until i know the existence of 1080p60. because previously i only based on ATSC and BluRay standards. if 1080p30, component still can gives same results as hdmi

and for now 1080p60 are mostly only for pc.

LOL picture quality are not based solely on resolution and framerate alone. You don't judge how good the cable is based on at ATSC or BluRay standards, that's like judging how good a highway is based on how many cars or how fast can it go on the highway instead of the smoothness or quality of the road. woahhh.. u guys are so enlighted on these issues, ya?

i don't see the difference between HDMI cables and the component cable for my xbox 360 + Panasonic Viera 32'... maybe coz it's an HD-ready instead of a full hd.. Full HD mahal sangatlah!

since ATSC and BluRay are the accepted standards worldwide, i don't see why i shouldn't based on it. if don't want to based on worldwide standards, then we can even go for Quad HD standards.

please don't use metaphors, it just add more confusions.

FULLHD is meaningless for the xbox 360. We all know that the xbox native resolution is 720. No difference probably.

Mmg aku dah test byk model lcdtv dah. 100Hz/200Hz motionflow tu benefit BD movies je mostly. Utk games mmg bole kata takde beza langsung. Tu pon setengah org tabley tahan tgk movies smooth sgt, last2 turn off jugak motionflow tu. laugh.gif

Truth be told, at 720p there's hardly any difference pon. Even dashboard 360 is native 720p. Only at 1080p then hdmi would yield better image quality, but that still depends on the tv itself.

Progressive is better than interlace IMO. Less flickering and higher fidelity at high frequencies. I would go with 720p over 1080i anyday. You can check HDTV forums, people prefer progressive. Though 1080p might be nice! (Though I can't afford it sad.gif ).

And the fact is that xbox 360 has a native resolution of 720p. PS3 has games that support 1080p. With the 360 it just converts it. Of course, those are number. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Tgk baru tau kot. haha...

Beza tu ada tp setakat ni aku bleh confirm ada 2 game xbox360 yg boleh run 1080p btol2, Virtua Tennis 3 and ape tah nama game basketball 3-on-3 tu. laugh.gif Yg lain mostly even kalo tulis 1080p kat box but still rendered at 720p, for example Lost Planet.
