what request u wanna make?

Explaination of how the video work in tube:

1. Tube is optimized for MP4 and 3GP, which means these 2 codec are able to play smoothly in tube at the resolution of 640 x 360.

2. For other non-optimized extension such as .FLV or .RMVB it may not play smoothly in your tube when the resolution is 640 x 360 or above, due to the encode and decode process.

3. you often find your tube laggin while playing video is mainly due to the size and resolution of the video and also the format of the video.

How tube process the video playback:

For MP4 and 3GP: Since tube is optimized for it.... it will just stream the media with in-built codec, thus when tube recognize the file decode process will greatly reduced, and you can play with no lag.

For other format such as RMVB and FLV: What the tube will do is, eg. u have a 1 hour flim, then tube will load the the video which consider unreadable by tube, then encode it into version that tube recognize, then after that decode into something you can view in ur tube, thus the process is doubled.... that means when u watch other non-optimized format video in your tube, the duration will be doubled in this case, a 1 hour film might require 2 hours to playback, cuz u'll be laggin every 1 sec caused by the encode and decode process...

during my finding... i found tube can playback WMV smoothly, however at a reduced resolution at QVGA

Suggestion for movie watching in tube:
1. Decode the movie into tube-optimized format such as MP4 or 3GP to reduce the laggyness.

2. Make sure your file size maintained at a certain limit preferably less than 500mb

3. if your video is too lengthy make sure u split them into smaller portion such as 100mb per file if you wanna watch in ur tube without lag

4. the heat generated (more heat will be generated if u're using non-optimized format video) from the tube altho might not be harmless in immediate effect but it'll definitely reduce ur tube lifespan in long term.

5. Rest ur eyes, rest ur tube for about 5 - 10 mins after 1 or 2 hours of movie.

Special notes: Best output container: MP4, Best output video codec: H.264/AVC, Best output audio codec: AMR for Smaller filesize, AAC for better quality

Added on March 2, 2009, 9:06 pmif u're really looking for some "Hard-to-decode" video format such as MKV, you should try eRightsoft Super Converter... it convert any format into any customized setting... imo best converter compare to all in the market currently, moreover it's free...
